From this excerpt from a recent interview with Maurice Couch it looks like Malik could be moving back outside?

Everything I had heard was that he was staying at tackle.

"I talk to coach Thompson a lot. I know they had Malik Jackson playing in the inside in the spring and they really didn't have a rotation and what they want to do is put me at the three-technique and put Malik at the end," Couch said. "So, it would be me, Malik at the end, whoever will play at the nose spot and Jacques (as another end).I think we'll have a good rotation as far as our second team with the incoming freshmen."

That looks right... We definitely have some versatility. Against an I-Form or strong running team I'd like to see Malik play end. But against like Cinci week 2 I think we will go Jac Malik Couch Bohanan

Not for 2011, but that 380 lb DT, Daniel McCullers (I think that is his name), would be a perfect fit at NT in 2012.

I hope Hood is a huge suprise like some on here suggest. Can anyone enlighting me on Hughes status, someone started a thread about two weeks ago that sounded like he had issues. I hope not, if that boy gets work ethic definite 1st or sedcond day pick. I still think the cheap shot he recieved lingered alot more then we will ever know. G.B.O..

Hood and Carson are both being taught how to play NT.

For some reason it comes up in thread after thread and folks do not get it. Maybe it needs its own thread.

Justin Wilcox LOVES players who can play multiple positions. Some like Carson are really only suited to NT.

Malik being able to play DT or DE, Corey Miller being able to play DT even though he is better suited to DE, Maggitt being able to play DE/OLB etc is precisely what Wilcox wants. An offensive coordinator will have nightmares when he has his guys trained up because they will have NO idea what he is doing coverage wise with all the options he will have using the same people.

I think they like Curt Maggitt at DE to help with the rush.

Wilcox likes to stand his DEs up in a 2 point and bring pressure from different angles. Look for a 4-3 hybrid defense with alot of similarities to the 3-4 using our DEs as blitzing OLBs.

Inside,we will just have to wait and see what we have. And yes, we will have several packages to utilize our talent v. down and distance.
