1. No more pursuit of QB option. Too much to think about. Have to be really disciplined. Thank god we don't play Navy or GTech.

2. Brantley looked mildly comfortable with his new offense. If we cover just decent we should be able to bring some heat. I honestly don't believe Wilcox has broken out the stunts.

3. Rainey is the only threat we need to be concerned about.

4. Im predicting a few int's for Dbackfield.

Florida's offense is not to be feared. 27-17 Tennessee with the upset.

They had to replace basically their whole line so hopefully Malik, Jacques, and Maggitt bring it which I know they will. Thing with Florida is they have short corners and we have WR's that tower over them and we'll do what we did vs Cincy with their short corners

6'4 against 5'8

not to mention a world class jumper.

If Bray has any time at all Hunter should have a big day...

He'll take a coupla sacks, but with his release and mental acumen, he's gonna pick them apart.

He doesn't need much time, remember. Remember last year.

As long as he doesent get greedy and sticks to the touch down or check down rule he shouldnt get sacked that much if at all.

Im not as worried about our defense as I am our running game. If they play towards our passing game, which I thnk they will we are screwed. Florida has the speed and ability with their DBs and safeties to possibly hurt us if we cant balance it out with our running game

We will see some of the option type stuff as they still have Burton. I do think we should see alot more defensive pressure in this game as the D will not have to be so worried about the QB taking off. I would love to see Brewer on a couple blitz packages.

Our DBs have a lot of potential, but they have been burned and picked apart by mediocre teams so far. They will improve as the season progresses, but not where they need to be to compete against quality opponents. I suppose you could say Cincinnati is a quality opponent offensively, but that is arguable.

They may be better at keeping Demps and Rainey off the edge than they were at containing the passing game. Maybe the Florida passing game is not is potent as Cincinnati. Hope so.

The majority of the posts I've seen refer to the point that UT hasn't faced the caliber of defense that UF will bring, but from what I've seen of UF is they haven't faced the caliber of offense that UT will bring to the field. The first quarter will be a big learning curve for our D line and LB's but I think they will quickly adjust.

UT - 35
UF - 24

Cincy played over the top in the secondary. UT began to wear them down. The OL began to get some confidence. It has been more of a development process than I expected in the run game. I though Poole and Lane would come out very strong. However the OL took a step forward as the game progressed this past week. The holes began to open up and Poole hit them.

If UF goes man, they lose. If they go zone with deep help, UT should have good running lanes. I think it is too early to say UT is "screwed" if they commit to stopping the passing game. And fwiw... stopping the passing game is going to be MUCH easier said than done. I see ALOT of Cut's "dink and dunk" in what they're doing but then you have the over the top stuff too. UT's O is very, very close to being able to attack the whole field on any play in the passing game. Bray has been equally good hitting the short stuff and the big play.

I just wish the corners and safeties would quit dancing with the outside blockers and start throwing them aside and make the tackles earlier.
