In today's Atlanta Journal, Scott Kennedy of Scout.com predicts that RB Toney Baker from North Carolina and LB Ricardo McCoy from DC will announce they will be a Vol next season.

I have a question. Does Kevin Simon have another year of eligibility? If so, we will be hard to contend with. :number1:

The AJC also said Adam Meyers-White will go elsewhere. I've been reading all week long that he has been recruiting for the Vols in San Antonio. Rico McCoy's dad said in the Washington Post today that he will commit to the Vols. That, my friends is a big catch for da beeg fishaman.

You sure about that? I know he will be back, but did he take a medical redshirt this year? For some reason I thought he had already taken his redshirt.

I double checked. He redshirted in 2001. He could get a sixth year, but I think he would have to wait until the end of next year to do that.

I heard somewhere that the NCAA approved him coming back because of a medical hardship ( may be wrong terminology) but I'm 99% sure he'll be back next yr

Kevin Simon is listed as a Junior on Tennessee's Depth chart that is why he can come back for another year.

Simon will start his 5th year with UT this fall he will have to wait till after the 2005 season then apply for a 6th year which he should get. He was signed in 2001 and had to redshirt because of being hurt in the Army All-Star game. Simon will be a 5th year SR. in 2005
