Debord to Indiana as OC

I heard that, but I also heard he was in town to watch Marcus Maroita's last home game of the season was the reason he was in town? But I agree usually when there is smoke there is fire.

lol Mariota wasnt even playing, so why was he there to watch his last home game when he wasnt even there and was recovering from surgery. He also didnt just happen to show up at a Vol bowl practice.

He's going to be the OC.

Hopefully butch finally goes the fulmer route and stays in his lane as a recruiting wizard and face of the program and hires in guys smarter than himself at the X's and O's to run the field. Much like cut and chavis did for fulmer.

I would hold off on that statement until we see who he hires to replace him.

I think hiring Helfrich would be a grand slam, but let's face it, that would be outside of Butch's character to hire someone like him on the offensive side of the ball.

It would be akin to hiring a "HC in waiting." You think folks clamoring for the backup QB is bad when the starter is having a dismal performance? Wait for the catcalls in Neyland to happen if this hire occurs and Butch continues to falter.

I'll believe it when I see it

He's full of shat. He says things to get ratings

Basilio reminds me of one of my guilty pleasures from a couple decades ago. There was a radio call-in show called "Coast to Coast" with Art Bell. It covered all sorts of paranormal and supernatural topics and had just enough plausibility to be interesting though it was rarely believable. It had a rather large cult following of true believers. I for one enjoyed it. I could suspend disbelief long enough to wonder "what if?".

Basilio relies on the same model (and production equipment, apparently).

I doubt it. Butch knows he's suffering from warm-bun-syndrome... He needs to make this one count. The coaching equivalent of the "splash plays" he talks about.

If Larry and zach are being considered then it's prolly already done just waiting for the right time

I can confirm 100% Helfrich had lunch with Marcus (who was on a scooter with a broken leg) downtown Nashville day of the Music City Bowl, but the Marcus visit is a smokescreen for his real visit to Nashville..courting for OC
