Debord needs to go

Problem is Alabama was set to stop the plays he called last year, and Debord didn't have a second post it notes with new plays to adjust.

Is the Oline any worse than the first year after Fulmer left? Remember having to play 2 walk ons (the Sullins twins)? That staff came within a blocked FG of beating the National champion Tide team on the road. This staff does not adjust their scheme or play calls no matter who we have on the field. I'm not saying we could have schemed a win today with our 3rd string, but we could have done something different to maybe stay respectful and compete.

Ok. That 2009 team that played Bama so close. That offense scored 10 points that day. Just like we scored 10 today. Difference was our defense in '09 held them to 12 points. Not 49. Don't act like the Sullins twins had us running some juggernaut offense.

We've moved the ball on every team except the #1 team in the country. I don't think it's time to call for his head quite yet. We've averaged 432 yds/game until today...

Debord is not the problem. You saw what happened when Dobbs tried to throw a screen pass. You also saw what happened when Dormady came in the game and threw his first pass. Here let's make this clear: In passing situations you need Dormady, in running situations you need Dobbs! Against Bama's defense it probably didn't matter who was in there because our O-line couldn't keep the rush off our QBs.

If we're being completely honest about Debord, his play calling/game plans have been the problem with h the slow starts all season. He waits until the Vols fall behind before he allows Dobbs to throw down field. I wish he would start throwing the ball down the field on first and second downs rather than handing the ball off to run up the middle. The play calling has been predictable all season.

Handy body who believes that play calling or schemes lost this game isn't being realistic. We got manhandled on both sides of the ball. No plays are going to work consistently when you are getting whipped at the LOS.

It sure didn't help to run right at Bama all game. That's their strength. UT's strategy against Bama should have been to get the ball to their playmakers on the outside, not just run up the middle.
