Auburn and other teams have had great success with the zone read. All Dobbs runs are called or broken down pass plays. Few run, pass throw roll out options.

Great game by Jancek.

Debord--14 points isn't typically going to beat good teams.

Are you seriously going to blame this on Dobbs and the coaching staff? You're an idiot if you couldn't see why we lost that game.

O line.

Dobbs took too many sacks. He was pressured in that second half almost constantly. I do think they should have moved him around more.

Play calling was good enough to win. Coaches did a phenomenal job. Youth and Medley beat the team.

Just another example of football being the ultimate team sport.

Dumbxxx thread, just useless. Debord and Dobbs handled business. Check out our kicker who if would have hit 2 out of 3 we win. He missed 4 out of 4 since given a retry.

How many NFL kickers go 2-2 over 50 yards?

WOW- You must be a fan! We had not business to be in this game. They had much more materal on the field. The coaches did a good job. The players gave all they have. We got beat by 5 points by a top ten team. We are getting there!!!

DeBord's play calling was pretty bad.

Dobbs was bad. 3 times he should have thrown an INT. He stares down 1 receiver. Zero clock in his head. Limited ability to see the field.

Defense played amazing.

I like Dobbs, but he's not an accurate QB and he doesn't see the whole field. They tried to work his footwork over the summer to help is accuracy, but it was making him think too much.

The line still isn't great, which makes it hard for any QB. Again, we have a depth issue. We still need 2 more years of strong recruiting. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

The defense always plays well....until it really has to, with the game on the line. Then they give up the game-winning touchdown. We were lucky georgia didn't have enough time...

Not going to pick at our kicker, but if you're 0-3, you are unemployed. Just make 1 and the 43 yard.

Everyone wants to put this on medley and he didn't have a good game at all but those kicks weren't easy kicks. If I remember correctly dobbs took a loss of a couple yards the play before the first kick. That's not making it any easier on ourselves. Then two 50+ yard kicks, would have been nice to make 1 but no way should you expect to make both of those. Our OLine sucked and although the game ended with Alabama beating the right side of the line and our freshman, our left guard shouldn't be out there. Next year I'm hoping we see Richmond Robertson Thomas Jones Hall. That line should get things done

We played our azz of, you can't blame this one on the coaching staff we just nearly beat the best team in the country with a banged up football team and 2 true freshmen starting on the OL, we are TENNESSEE we can keep our head up this is the last defeat this team will have for a long time, i didn't think we had the talent or depth to stay in the game we nearly won this game and we played our azz of and our gut's out the future of TENNESSEE and the SEC is BRIGHT ORANGE and i TERRY PEDIGO is proud to be a TENNESSEE FAN OF 45 YEAR'S and in defeat i am proud as H@LL TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL, GO VOL'S BUCK BAMA AND NICK AND LITTLE LANNY I HATE THE SOB's even more as they took down my beloved VOLS, but i was born a Tennessean and by the grace of GOD i am a TENNESSEE VOL here while on earth and still will be in death GO VOL'S BUCK BAMA

Dobbs took a 7 yard loss before the first fg attempt, from the 19 back to the 26. He was rolling to his left, and could have dumped it out of bounds. That made the first attempt 43 yards instead of 36.
