What amazes me the most is all the fans that seem to be so impressed with the presser.... To me he looked unsure of himself early on. I think, secretly, so many on this board had such low expectations that he was set up for success just by showing up. My only explanation is that too many have toiled under Fulmer.

However, I too wish him luck and strongly hope I am wrong.

So, does Kiffin have someone else in mind if he is suggesting that Boyd won't be successful in our system? If our next QB on campus, Bryce Petty, or yet to be recruited?

You would think there has to be some sort of plan at work here. Either he thinks the QB is on the roster or he's got a line on a JUCO guy or something.

I think Kiffin knows whats up! If he does not think he will fit then he wont! He made it plain and simple in his PC that he has a plan and he is going in that direction. I can not wait to see it all come together!

I do... This is my point all along. CLK is a risk more so than some of the other candidates. To MH, the risk was offset by the cheap cost. To me, it wasn't.

If Hamilton were trying to do this on the cheap, he wouldn't have made millions of dollars available for Kiffin's staff. He wouldn't have repeatedly tried to hire Butch Davis away from North Carolina, and he wouldn't have inquired about Gruden. Kiffin's here because he's the guy Hamilton thinks can get the job done, not because he was cheap.

Nope... I miss looking forward to football Saturdays and, after this hire, I'm afriad that I will have to wait longer.

He has a vision and doesn't mind sharing it. The guy's brutally honest. It's going to be a fun recruiting season, imo. :good!:

By the time the UGA game kicks off, you'll have a much better idea of how things are going to go. I'm sure your soon will have a great time, no matter what happens on the field. The band marching in before the game and the T may become his best memories for this trip!

Kiffin is a total waste of time. He is one prime example of somebody lining the cracks, and somehow finding top jobs with absolutely no credentials.

There are about 2 million people in this world that would equal Lane Kiffins resume, and football awareness.

THAT IS THE TRUTH - and you all know it

Kiffin proved in Oakland that he had no respect for his employer (no matter how bad/good Al Davis is as a owner) He spoke to players in a poor manor, and had ZERO respect to the Raider alumni.

Kiffin acted like they should be HONORED to have him as coach.

WHO THE ^^^^ is Lane Kiffin?



Kiffin isn't even qualified to be offensive coordintor for Tennessee.

Kiffin DID NOT call any plays for USC! Kiffin was 1 of 2 assistants that ASSISTED the gameday play relaying, and showed flip cards to QB's, WR's, and TE's.



This is going to be one of the worst decisions UT has ever made, and in 2 seasons Lane Kiffin will be lucky to get a d2 job. He will show that he is incompetent, and a classless person.

UT is just on a very long list of places that gives people like Kiffin a chance to prove his worthlessness.




Though he does have a pretty wife. I'm sure we all will enjoy near the end of his career at UT, the t.v. cameras on she and him on gameday----------


While we ask ourselves what Mike Hamilton saw in him, and where is Mike Hamilton today?

You indirectly (almost directly) prove my point! The high cost of Gruden and Butch Davis is what turned MH away. Also, if CLK was "the guy" for MH then why the additional overtures to Butch Davis?... No, Butch Davis was the number one candidate and rightfully so. The money available for staff will not that much more than other programs (in dollars) and will more than be offset by avoiding a buyout and salary for a good coach. The powers to be are just not as committed as Oklahoma, Alabama, or Florida.

I can't understand why you refuse to see things for what they are. It does not make you or me any less of a fan. It is just clear to me that if this hire fails we need to get rid of MH as well. I want someone in the AD spot that is as passionate about winning as me. What is wrong with that?
