Actually he did like me. Problem was that we were long distance for a little bit, and our fight was over whether or not she would come out and live where I was. He just gave me a really good sign that I would understand his thought on the matter.

I would have to agree with this post. I think there are alot of young guys that post here that haven't watched a lick of football before they went to college. I believe a few didn't even know the Vols played on Saturday till they started seeing a crowd outside their dorm room window. All of a sudden they know the direction the program needs to be moving... The football program was sent to the stone ages when the "unnamed one" bolted in the middle of the night in his orange panties. It takes atleast 4/5 years to even get close to a level playing field after changing coaching staffs pretty much back to back. RELAX! it might not happen before your senior year but it will happen. There is to much passion for Tennessee football for it not to.

Ok, we are definitely a program with problems. We have suffered from several years of inconsistency, followed by three years of turmoil, upheaval and mediocre performance on the field. We don't have a wealth of instate talent. We have a fanbase that expects the moon, stars and crystal footballs. 16, 17 and 18 year olds don't consider us sexy for a number of reasons.

Coaches who are pressured to be successful immediately see this. That doesn't make us really attractive at this time.

I don't believe it's hopeless, but on the other hand I don't see us replacing Bama, LSU, Oregon, USC or Texas any time soon.

I would love to see a message board genius with a solution.
