Death by Fanbase

You reap what you sow.........or at least what others have sown. It really sucks knowing that we have the most delusional fanbase in college football.

I said it months ago....Chip ain't coming. Gruden ain't coming. If you make a change, make it with a coach in the bag. Fanbase demanded immediate change. The boycott. The Rock.

And since when in this country are you now considered guilty even when you've been cleared? Since Clay Travis said so? Geez people. Schiano was probably as qualified as we were going to get. What coach in their right mind would step into this cesspool, especially given ANY other option?

Freaking heartbreaking. This program was just set back another decade........if we're lucky.

I have also been saying Gruden ain't coming for years and Kelly ain't coming for weeks.

I also am proud that the voice of the Vol fandom was heard loud and clear across the football world and beyond yesterday. If Schiano is the best football coach we can hope for then our program is scraping the bottom of the barrel before the fans broke Currie.

Ever heard the saying..."Guilty by association"? It's what your parents warned you about during your teenage years. This is a prime example, nobody is ever gonna prove whether he saw anything or not, but he is going to be guilty by association as long as people remember the scandal. Right or wrong, that's life. We as fans and donors have the right to express the displeasure of the potential hire. Just so happens we were listened to.

He was implicated in sworn testimony to have witnesses a child being raped and did nothing about it. But since double hearsay isn't permissible in the court of law and he denied it, then what's the problem? We really missed a diamond in the rough that inexplicably nobody else wants. The fans are killing this program!

really? inexplicable? you are 100% correct on the facts of that case as we know them. that doesn't mean that we have to just say "ok, cool"? and it doesn't mean that we should just buy the fact that any real work was done to see how this would go over...i think it's apparent to say whatever work they did do in that arena, wasn't enough.

cause fact is, NO ONE else was hitting him up this off season....even with all the openings.

just us. and per the OSU athletic director, Currie contacted him about 3 weeks ago about Schiano....which is before Jones was fired. so really, how much effort was put in to this search? or was he led by the nostrils to columbus by some very influential people in a place, like say, Cleveland?

either way.........

Quit posting this over and over. Belichick and Meyer praised Schiano. Yea that's two stand up men we should be listening to.

Meyer also praised Arron Hernandez.

Lol. kiffin, Norvell, brohm, are all more qualified and with less baggage than Schiano. Schiano is a jerk, he instructed his team to dive at the knees of kneeling qbs, leaked personal info about freeman when he was at Tampa bay, and was voted the most disliked coach in the league. He's literally the boss level a-hole that you fight after you beat Butch Jones.

This is why:clapping::rock:

You are dense, along with delusional. Look at his record vs the previous 20 yrs.......like I said.

You didn't quote my whole post, but that's fine. Regardless, with that logic, Butch Jones was a great hire. You're like arguing to a hardcore liberal or tea party nutcase, you refuse to look at logic and everything else surrounding the issue.

This is the defeatest attitude that has allowed the cucking of our great historical program.

When Schiano was the only person you were considering, then you have categorically failed to live up to the promise to conduct an exhaustive search for a new head coach.

They lied to you. They lied to all of us.

This was a death: Death by Haslam.

The fans stayed the execution.
