Give him six! It's what started me out as a vols fan. It's why I'm here, and it's why I will never leave. First things first, i wanna say I love you volnation, you guys and gals make me proud to be Tennessean and I'm damn proud of it! Y'all are what has kept me going for so many years, months, days, and hell even minutes in my life. To me this is love and not just a sport.

It was 2007 when I was introduced to this website and I'm glad I joined. Freak, my man, you do something absolutely special and deal with us vol fans on a daily minute to minute basis and that's not a job I would want but hats wayyyyyy off on good job. Thank you for everything you do for volnation but I will make my rant short and sweet.

Jeremy Pruitt, a guy that yesterday I would have told to **** off! Yea dudes got a big head #aight but I swear on my life if he puts damn trash cans on the sidelines I'm gonna lose my mind. But he won't, the gimmicks are done and they should be done, forever (I hoped) no more shower etiquette, no more champions of life, no more mediocrity and high fiving a bad 8 win season.

WE are tennessee damnit. We stopped the greatest debacle of a coaching hire in NCAA history and I'm damn proud to say so. Not only have we shown the man our voices will be heard, we actually made changes happen and that's incredible.

I love you all volnation. I'm literally addicted to the vols everything. It's a sickness that is welcomed by my own self and I'll be glad for the rest of my life.

I have a six year old son and I'm divorced, I live in **** hole Memphis where everybody is a fan of whoever is winning because the tigers always suck!! I literally live in bandwagon USA! I'm trying to raise my boy orange and I will in due time..

But today is a day of a great change, when butchy was announced five short years ago I thought it was a **** hire from the get go, but today I feel differently.

I'm a one liner kind of guy but I felt it was necessary to show my love for Jeremy Pruitt. We will championships under this guy and even though I don't necessarily like a bammer we have gotta great hire.

Ps. I would have loved Gruden to destroy the presser with a little if thunder struck and flipping chairs, but I'm %100 behind this hire. I love you all volnation.

This is a clear indication that this was a less than desirable hire. The reason why I say this is that I've seen a number of similar posts like this over the last few days. I doubt you have any message boards for Florida, UCLA, aTm or FSU trying to psyche up a fan base, or rally a fan base or making an effort to sell the idea of Mullen or Kelly to those guys. Yet, we are over here trying to convince ourselves that we found a diamond in the rough and that our athletic department ended doing their due diligence.

Whoa there Mad Monk, glass is half empty and maybe it is raining in Bogota, but this was a very solid choice. I know time will tell, but Coach Pruitt is an SEC guy who understands the demands, work ethic, expectations and blueprint to win championships in this conference and beyond. I'm sure you will tell me you don't waste your time on those other boards, but since I live in Florida..... There are plenty of armchair playcallers in Gainesville and Tallahassee (see Tomahawk Nation or Gator Bait), but, like here, by and large the changes have been supported by their fans. Having the good fortune to have been around Coach Majors for a couple of years, I'd wager that despite the frigid relationship between Coach Fulmer and Coach Majors, this is a guy Coach Majors will like. Competitive, high expectations and desire to win. It is our time and I happen to believe Coach Pruitt's record and attitude are exactly what we needed. Before you hit me with a dose of reality, I normally agree with your posts, but like I said, my gut tells me it's our time. The optimist, maybe, but like OP I'm pretty dadgum excited about what lies ahead. I just read somewhere that Coach Neyland and John Ward both fully support this hire!:good!:

I believe there are three types of people concerning this hire...happy, sad, and scared (SEC opponents)...:)

GO VOLS!
