Dear UT-Martin...

Why should UT-Martin be scared? All their players know they are going to lose and the UTM staff set up this game as a moneymaker, not a legitimate athletic competition. UTK should be embarrassed of themselves. The current administration of UTK is making a laughing stock out of the program and not enough people care.

Nothing went over anyone's head; it's just most of us realizing trash talking an FCS opponent is pathethic. And then to compare them to App. St. is even more pathetic.

I didn't compare them to Appy St. I actually said they are no Appy St. but still....

UT-Martin,

Heed this warning. For when you see the top of Neyland Stadium as you’re crossing over the hills entering Knoxville, there are certain things you will need to know. That chill you feel crawling up your spine? Don’t confuse that with the cool mountain breeze flowing through the Smokey Mountain Valleys. No no… that is the chill given off by stone cold Orange Clad hungry wolves that have been caged and starved since January. Their love for inflicting pain in their victims taken from them, forced to wait until another season rolls around before they can taste it again. And don’t mistake that noise you hear for the waves of the Atlantic. Those are the many wakes created by the mighty Vol Navy. Like a school of sharks they surround the waters of Knoxville every Saturday of fall. Hoping, Praying, Waiting for the Wolves to discard of the remains into the murky waters. The rumble you are hearing beneath your bus is no earthquake. Make no mistake about it. That’s the march of the Pride Of The Southland band combined with over 100,000 equipped Orange Army members. Marching to the sounds of Rocky Top, these are the Wolves handlers. And the handlers are just as hungry as the Wolves. Do not expect a heart filled welcome for this will not be a friendly greeting our westward friends. This will be remembered as the most painful day of your lives. Welcome to Orange Nation…… Welcome to Gods Country…. Welcome to VolNation!
Sincerely yours,
GBO

P.S. 5 days....

Yeah. I know. Which is why it is retarded to think that they will be 'super scared' to play us.

And other factors to think upon:

1. It's possible to tick them off with this trash hype and they play above and beyond their ability and end up whipping our butt. Beware, a foe forewarned is a foe forearmed.

2. Remember North Texas State back in the 1980's I think handed us our head on a platter.

3. Then there was Wyoming. (Boise-Oregon comes to mind as well) so having proper respect for an opponent isn't a bad idea because then you know to take nothing for granted cause doing so could get you azz bitten.

4. Talking like a bully makes you bully, and bully karma has a way of being nasty.

Three games that should NEVER be forgotten; 1986 Sugar Bowl vs. Miami, 1996 Memphis game, and the 2008 Wyoming game. It can and has happened in the past. For and against the Vols.

You attempted to by bringing up Michigan "overlooking" App. St. Sure you threw the disclaimer in, but knowing that you still shouldn't have made the comparison. App. St. that year was better than several FBS teams; UTM isn't anywhere near that category.

Are you seriously writing this for an FCS opponent?

Nothing went over anyone's head; it's just most of us realizing trash talking an FCS opponent is pathethic. And then to compare them to App. St. is even more pathetic.

you guys are acting like the OP literally wrote this to UTM, and will be mailing them each their own hard copies or will have this printed out in their locker room or something...The OP was just rallying the troops so to speak. Some of us are excited game week is finally here. It's apparent others of us have picked up the unfortunate trait that our nation has picked up, and that's being WAY too sensitive about everything. Good grief it's a freaking message board post on our freaking message board. If UTM's players/coaches/fans get butt hurt over a post on our board, then: 1. GTFO, and 2. they're in for more of a hurt on Saturday than I expected.

Geez, get over yourselves nancies and don't take life/football/message board posts so damn seriously.

/Rant

Have a nice day. :eek:k:
