Dear new coach whoever

So stop trying to win a championship and settle for good enough. Got it.

I’m thankful I’m not willing to settle for good enough with my business or my kids. We can always be better.
Nobody said that except you. But Kirby didn’t win his in year 3 and didn’t have to deal with a 60 man roster and an investigation. At least let a guy with the best 3 year record we’ve had in the last two decades get a cycle of all his own recruits. Fans like you would have us back at 3 consecutive 5 win seasons because that coach who could do it, wouldn’t come here.

Agree on that then. But how many, just good years, do you put up with before it’s not good enough. It’s all very subjective in everyone’s eyes.
This is a good point. Give CJH 3 more years to keep building as long as you see building. Last year was an aberration and progress isn’t always linear. They had no room for injuries, had to keep 30 seniors and play them because they only have 9 juniors, 11 sophomores, and 33! Freshman which include RS’s. It’s a depth issue because of scholarship reductions and transfers from the Mac D guys. Give him 10 years if he’s winning 8-10 and then decide if you still want a change.

I will admit that it doesn't help when a team like Mizzou, Kentucky, and other mid tier programs string together 10 win seasons. If you can do it there, fans of larger fanbases demand they get the same results.
Then have them play a schedule like ours which includes 3 top 10 teams every year. Y’all are just looking at BS surface and do not have critical thinking skills. I’m out. Enjoy your misery and deserve to have a team that is just like the Pruitt years. We have the highest average rated recruiting class since the CPF days and this crap. Our fan base in places is horrible and tall guy is pointing it out at the beginning of the hire then playing y’all by acting the way he wrote it down in 2021. If not, then he’s the biggest moron of all. Otherwise, it’s genius.

This is just the way it is, over and over, and over. It is hilarious to me that we had the same conversations about Butch that we did with Dooley (give him time, he really wants to be here, he has a great pedigree, he has been successful everywhere he's been, he has us on the right path, we are in so much a better place than before). Then we had the same conversations when pruitt was here. Now we are having the same conversations about Heupel.
Whose actually had the best record over 3 years than we’ve had in a decade and best Bama and Florida. Some things are not the same. Also, didn’t get to recruit 33 kids in one class.

I’ve seen enough of Kirby Smart to say I believe he’s a better sideline coach than Saban or anyone at this point. Dude is into every single play. Saban is a great recruiter, strategist, motivator but he’s pretty average IMO once the game starts.

Nope. Mizzou plays Arkansas every year. Kentucky plays MSST and Louisville. We play Bama which was a certain loss for the last decade or so.

Even then, I'm talking about the college labdscape as a whole. Teams like Kansas, Louisville, TCU, etc have easier schedules. They may run into a year where they find a good young developmental coach that is able to build a team to beat their easy schedule. But when they do have success, it looks impressive, but it is short lived. Usually the coach is hired away until he reaches the pinnacle at a "destinstion" program.

Tennessee is a destination program. The schedule is hard. The expectations are high. And the fans are demanding.
