Its not the concept, its the abuse of it. Faildozer ran pretty hard and that's probablly what got him shut down.

I mean, if we're gonna go with a "yay" button, why stop there. How bout for those really satisfied with another poster's post they have a third option:

the way it was abused, i just don't see freak bringing anything like that back. i could see the mods having the ability to flag a post as a good post, or maybe a select few having that ability.

and for the record, there were at least 2 threads about thanks before cg, so i am sure it was a group effort. :)
