Dealing with Noisy Neighbors

conversations between clients and attorneys are privileged

Hmmm... lawyer question of curiosity. A man walks into your office and says "I need a lawyer I killed someone". He has never been a client in the past and you don't take his case, can you be called as a witness to report what he said to you, or is a lawyer's office like a sanctuary where you can confess your sins whether you're a client or not? Or, would any testimony you could provide simply be thrown out as hearsay? If you reported what you were told to the police and they investigated off your statement, would resulting evidence be "fruit of the poison tree"? Are all lawyers considered officers of the court, or just public defenders? Are officers of the court subject to the same rule of mirandizing a suspect? After all these years of watching Law & Order, I feel I should know these things, but I don't. Well, I have opinions, but I know nothing factually.

Where's SDV? I need answers.

Why hasn't SDV answered my questions? I'd ask Nerd, but he hasn't passed the bar yet has he?

Sorry, just read this. Anyone that comes into your office as a potential client, is afforded attorney/client privilege. You cannot be compelled to release that information unless the client authorizes you to do so. Even if they don't hire you.

There are very rare exceptions where a lawyer must disclose information, such as if there is threat to someone of future harm.

Have you reached "I don't even give a fawk" mode yet? If so, casually ask if they've ever considered a threesome?

When being polite fails, continuing to be polite is a sign of weakness. Don't be weak.

Last night I heard them talking about how teaching abstinence is the most effective form of pregnancy prevention. Somehow I don't think this would go over well. I also have not had a problem in a couple days.

You are weak. Your mission is quite simple. You must corrupt at least one of these girls, yet you fail to face the challenge. You are the zone's newest disappointment. From now on, I'll simply refer to you as Cubicle 10.
