Put a few hrs in it this weekend Duck and was impressed..improvements all the way around..retail copy finally arrived late this evening as I was leaving for work..

i played a round or two tonight and wasn't too impressed. it was only a first impression and i might have to invest some more time into it to form a more well rounded opinion, but the campaign is definitely still where it's at.

comparing it to L4D, though? you might as well be comparing really good apples to oranges. the multiplayer isn't terrible, but it can get old pretty quick from what litte i played of it.

Didn't mean in quality, just how it's set up. From what I've read it's objective based where you have one team of humans working on an objective, then the other team play as the necromorphs and are able to choose where the spawn to surprise the humans. Sounded very L4D-like.

possibly. i'm already at chapter 10 on my normal playthrough right now. don't want to spoil anything but things are getting real interesting at the point i'm at now.

Think im on 7 or 8..since you only get 3 saves I doubt I make a hardcore run..the COD maps coming out next week will prolly delay another playthrough for me...

i think i'm around where you're at right now. i didn't get the advanced suit because i didn't have enough and spent it on medpacks and ammo anyway. chapter 10 has by far been my favorite part of the game thus far. that whole mission was beyond creepy.

Yeah I didn't have much left after I spent the 40k on the suit..campaign has been great..have not tried the multiplayer...

just finished it up. the last 2 chapters are real intense and the last boss is pretty crazy. they did a real good job with this one. i'd rank it almost right up there with the first dead space.

might still possibly do a hard core playthrough while i have this game, but i have a feeling i'll fail miserably at it. i tried it out tonight just to get a feel for what it's like on that setting and got to the end of chapter one, but was killed by the first boss after i missed him with stasis when my health was low. having only 3 saves in that mode is brutal.

HAHA that is awesome!

Duck if you still have the chapter 14 save right after the zero G gravity area the nodes keep respawning in that room if you keep loading the checkpoint..im gonna max out my 4 guns and load up for later when i make a Zealot playthrough

Played some of 2 today......very good game. Fell silly for saying this since I am a 34 year old man, but some of it has scared the **** out of me.
