'20 DC WR Rakim Jarrett (Maryland signee)

It doesnt do anything to hurt his NFL potential. It's just the fact he is going to be losing by 40 to Big Ten teams for the next three years till be gets drafted.

It certainly has potential to hurt draft position.

If you dont have a talented qb to throw to you, or a line to protect that qb so he can throw to you...then your stats can suffer.

Let's take a timeout to check the stats.

According to 247 Sports, this is only Maryland's fifth five star recruit of all time and their first since 2012 when local prospect Stefon Diggs chose to play for the Terps. Jarrett will go down as the fourth best commit in program history.

It's true. He shows up to a gane and gets 100 yards then disappears for the next two or three..maybe similar to Calloway. Juan Jennings is a better receiver than Higgins, but Higgins will go well before JJ
Hahaha Jennings is not better than Higgins. That’s just insane.

Since he entered thigh school in 2016, Both UMD and Tennessee have had 9 players drafted... Tennessee doesn’t have the same luster it use too for these young guys, especially a kid from MD. Choosing Tennessee would not have prepared him better for the NFL.

Would LSU have been better? Maybe, but he chose UMD. Any anyone saying he should have gone to Tennessee over LSU shouldn’t have a problem with him choosing UMD over LSU.
Thigh School.

So he is still in wait and see mode. This kid's recruitment has definitely been different!

This is an all time bad take. Higgins is an absolute stud WR. WR designed in a lab. Great player.

Rakim chose to sign with a class that doesn't even have a quarterback commit... maybe the plan is to use him like KY used Bowden this year. I think he may have cost himself a few rounds in the draft some day with this decision.

More or less promised he would be the center of the offense.
