I still have nightmares about "3rd and Sunseri".As we got our new coordinator or soon to be (hopefully). it got me thinking about some of our past coordinators and who we have had that have been rock solid and those we dont want ever mentioned again S.S......not going to say his name.
Here is the list of defensive coordinators we have had since the end of the Major's era till today. Which one(s) were OVERALL were the best; not having a great year surrounded by mediocre years.
Tim Banks
Jim Chaney
John Jancek
Justin Wilcox
Monte Kiffin ( my vote for the best overall defensive staff, but never stayed around to grow that side of the ball)
Jim Chavis
Larry Marmie
Larry Lacewell
Dude, I am not entering a thesis to become a doctor or to be graded for spelling and or grammar. This is just a conversation but in word form. Just like when you speak to your friends. Not being smart here!
I have started very few threads, but love to comment on conversations. That being said, you should really do some research before posting a thread. Names missed, wrong names, wrong side of the ball. Just a few of the issues with your thread off the top of my head.
That’s why I don’t do them, would make me have to look much deeper into something to ensure I cover my bases.
Best coaching schemes and player execution that I have watched.DO what? I have not heard that story. That would be an interesting tell.
Ken Donahue - (Majors)As we got our new coordinator or soon to be (hopefully). it got me thinking about some of our past coordinators and who we have had that have been rock solid and those we dont want ever mentioned again S.S......not going to say his name.

I’m old school too. Donahue is my all-time favorite even though he wasn’t on the OP list.John Chavis___ You left out one. The 85 Sugar Bowl win was in large par due to the DC. I can't remember his name but he was the best DC in all the years I have watched UT football! I started in late 50's. I just remembered Ken Donohue !
