DC Candidates?

Just saw a video posted 8 hours ago of Shoop saying he has no plans to leave PSU. Not sure if this is our guy or not

That video that says 8 hours ago was actually videoed on DEC 29 before the bowl game with UGA if it was the same one I googled

Brady Hoke makes no sense... The only coordinator job he ever had was in High school... Why is everyone so excited for him, because you know who he is? You don't think Shoop is elite being a top 25, well what in the hell are you going to think about a guy who has never been a coordinator at all since 1981 in high school

has never been DC though...

He hasn't been a DC since 1982 and that was a high school job. But has coach mainly on the defensive side of the ball.

1983 Grand Valley State (DL)
1984–1986 Western Michigan (DL)
1987–1989 Toledo (LB)
1989–1994 Oregon State (DL)
1995–1996 Michigan (DE)
1997–2001 Michigan (DL)
2002 Michigan (Assoc. HC/DL)

Hoke was Lloyd Carr's associate head coach and D-line coach the year they won the national championship. He was also Tom Brady's main recruiter.

This reminds me of the names besides Debord we got floated but in reverse. We'll see but going to the well twice on out of work Michiganers would be ballsy.

Tennessee is going to be full of Michigan men if Hoke becomes DC.

Yeah... these guys just aren't used to the increased horsepower of the SEC... they spend a year or more spinning their tires... not what we need at this time.

Lovie...he be circling!

Brady Hoke's older brother Jon Hoke, was the co-defensive coordinator of South Carolina this year. How ironic.

If you look closely at the Gene Chizik Wiki page, the picture of him with his Auburn team in the background (probably post-NC) has the caption "Chizik after accepting University of Tennessee Defensive Coordinator position."

Someone is trolling hard lol

Bob Shoop signed a 3 year extension at $1 million/year a week ago. His name is being tossed around everywhere on VQ and here, but I don't know how that's a possibility...

Report: Bob Shoop's Contract Extension For Three Years At Nearly $1 Million Annually - Black Shoe Diaries

that article is from last year, they said Shoops was making close a mil a year, how much would it cost the Vols to hire him then ? $1.2 mil or more ?

and would the other coaches on staff be wanting to get a major pay raise too ? would Bama Dave be willing to spend that much is another question

Hoke up for Oregon DC

Shotgun Spratling ‏@ShotgunSpr · 11m11 minutes ago
Justin Wilcox, Peter Sirmon (and Brady Hoke) to interview for #Oregon DC position, per

I'm sorry, but any coach that gives up the most rushing yards in bowl history need not apply... 650 RUSHING yards with a 3rd or 4th string QB is about as bad as giving up 70 points(Kevin Steele) or losing a game with a wr as QB

John Chavis?

We probably couldn't afford him now, though.

Hell, I wouldn't take him if he was free. Am I the only one that remembers "Third and Chavis?" I certainly remember nearly 100,000 moaning and groaning fans inside Neyland.

3rd and long = 1st down......3rd and forever = guaranteed first down.

I don't want to go through this again!
