Most everything pointed toward Hendrix decision being directly related to a coach or coaches and how he felt he was treated.

Could this be Jones "fixing" that problem?

I think so, it probably has more to do than with just on the field performance.

Just heard on swain event shoop is gone and he took gadsden with him. It was on Penn state forum. But swain did say he doesn't believe everything on message board. We all know that's true but could be smoke

people wanting to hire Orlando because of the Peach bowl is just as silly as not wanting to hire Chizik because of the Russell Athletic bowl. chizik has a very good track record, and has done it at big time schools, and been on National championship staffs.

in all seriousness, after getting caught up this morning, and in all the muck, there was some good stuff in there, it seems the list, at least as constructed here, looks like this, in no particular order:

Chizik
Shoop
Hoke
Foster
Chavis
Hobby
Orlando
Martinez
Stripling
L. Smith
Wilcox
Chavis

who i'd be rooting for: Hobby.
who is a total long shot: Smith...no way he's going from NFL hc salary to college DC, scratch him from your lists.
most likely: Hoke or Shoop(though i think Shoop is too expensive)
who'd id be most disappointed if: Martinez
most intriguing: Foster and Chizik
not gonna happen: Orlando, Stripling

in the end, i think it's Hoke, Shoop or Chizik.

Just read at Yahoo that auburn offered Shoop a boat load of money and he turned them down. FWIW

It's amazing how fast rumors start flying... When yall say Shoop or Chizik or anyone else, are they just uneducated guesses?

Sometimes these boards start to feel like high school gossip

He has been a part of a national championship (his defenses were never the problem at Auburn) and an undefeated team in 2004. He has a stronger track record than Jancek, for sure.

Now that we've climbed back this far, if you think he is the better coordinator then you need to get him and pay. End of story.
