I think Jones is delusional if he thinks the defense cost us the ou and florida games. The problem was the offense. You don't win big games when you don't score after the first period. Period. If he thinks ANY DC is going to shut out good teams or help win games 17-10 or somesuch, he's in for a rude awakening.

We had just scored a TD in the 4th qt vs Florida to go up 27-14. Defense blew this game.

I think Jones is more invested in his DC's performance than any of us. If it doesn't need to be made...changes don't happen. There was some sort of disconnect during the season...we prolly never know what it was, but LWS hinted at this months ago. If you believe that "rude awakenings" is in the agenda here, you should share with your coaching brethren.

LWS hinted at vague, nebulous coaching changes, but it wasn't this. He flat out said on Dec 5th that, in his opinion, Jancek wouldn't leave unless he got a head coaching job.
