Dooley said that they need to work on his "body composition", but that he was working hard through the drills and didn't seem that out of shape.

Phillips' body type looks like that of Dan Williams...big lower-body...low center of gravity.

Some twitter updates from the reporters during dooleys press session

Dooley: Darrington Sentimore "has been very active." Sentimore and Maurice Couch both have shown encouraging signs.

Dooley on Sentimore: he's been very active, along with Couch, shown good conditioning.

Vols didn't waste any time. They went 3 WRs on the first play of open practice today and it was Hunter, Rogers and Patterson on the field.

Dooley on Corey Miller: this is his 2nd chance, hopefully he learned in fighting to get back on team. Can he keep it up over time?

Dooley on V.Dallas: move to DB was something he wanted to do to get into mix. It was a good mutual decision. Played both CB and Safety.

Dooley: Freshman Justin King working at wildcat QB because #Vols think he can help them there. Signed him as an athlete.

Dooley: really worried about depth at tight end after Rivera, Downs.

Dooley: #Vols Soph LB Jordan Williams doing "really nice job." He's "settled in" at Jack LB now.

Dooley: #Vols' newcomers "were fine" in first full-squad practice. No one stood out, good or bad.

Justin King worked pretty extensively on offense today. Dooley said that move could be permanent, reminded that he was recruited as an ATH

Once McKeef gets through with Phillips, especially in the off-season, he will be more than ready.

Wonder if King gets a shot at TE. Maybe UT is not in as bad of shape at LB as we thought. Thoughts?

So will Patterson likely take ZR's spot in the lineup for NC State? Or will that come later in the season?
