This has gone from our staff being surprised he wasn't able to play in the opener, to him STILL sitting out 3 weeks later. WTH is going on??? Is our 5* stud that soft? Is it more serious then we were led to believe? I just see our team having a ton of injuries and it seems to happen ALL the time. It's frustrating.

I hope the guy is ok and this isn't an ongoing serious issue, but I don't want to see him get his first start vs UGA. I'm rolling with the same five we've had so far.

We probably shouldn't be on here accusing our players of being soft before knowing exactly what's going on.

the initial diagnosis was a stinger and the feeling was it should resolve in a week or so. There are cases where it takes longer since the nerve has some damage. The nerve has to heal and then the muscles have to rehab back to full strength. In Sanders case, that is the issue, the nerve healing is taking much longer than anticipated.

It would be a high risk of further injury if he tried to play PLUS, he would likely be ineffective due to the weakness....

they can't because at this point they can't predict how long it takes him to heal... People heal at different timelines for the same injury.

Talking out of their ass is a common affliction for people who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground and it's a real pain in the ass to folks who have to put up withi it.

I'm guessing the coaching staff is always hoping they'll be ready to go, but it's up to the medical staff to make the final call. CJH probably gets the final ruling close to game day, so it's tough to put a time on it.

I can see McCoy being back next week for UAB or making the trip to Ms St.
Gibson is likely gone for the season, or at least will be a medical RS and see limited time towards the end.

Sanders - who knows. That's a nerve damage issue and the only thing that can fix that is time...time is relative and different for everyone when it comes to healing.
My brother had a kidney stone removal procedure and he was back to work in 3 days, but I had the same procedure and was off work for 2 weeks.

Of course, could be one of those situations where he’s nicked up but the OL is playing so well they decided not to rush him back until he’s 100%. Calling him “soft” may be a bridge too far. I’m not sure it’s possible to be soft on the OL, especially if you are a guy at the consensus 5 star level.
