He has to show me what he can do based on his wonderful work with Stephen Garcia and Chris Smelley last year. I will wait and see.
I'm just curious as to when or where anyone on the coaching staff said Crompton would definitely be the starter for the first game? Kiffin himself has said many times that 21 of the 22 starting spots are open, with the lone exception obviously being Berry.Yeah seriously. What happened to the whole no one has a spot thing?? Why does Crompton get the auto nod as the #1 guy?? Crompton will be the starter, I think that much has been determined thus far. Too many little hints for it not to be true. After what Crompton spit out as far as the team and players thing and the fans don't mean squat, I hope he rides the pine but it's obviously not going to happen so oh well.

Who else have they already penciled into the starting lineup for Western Kentucky based on seniority?Kiffin has told recruits that Crompton is plenty capable of getting the job done. Now this piece where they label the depth chart based on seniority is crap, IMO, because they shouldn't put a number beside anyone since they haven't seen anyone throw yet or try and manage the huddle. It's just pointing to Crompton starting is all. It's the subtle hints and comments that lead me to believe it. If you don't share the same sentiment tid, that's cool.

That's the thing, where have they officially announced that Crompton is the starter? I've seen nothing from the coaches other than Crompton will be the first guy to work with the first team in Spring practice. How does that translate to Crompton definitely being the starter in September? That's not even what I am saying. Why the hell would they determine a starter in the Spring if they didn't already have a good clue who it would be?? It's just pretty obvious based on recent comments and articles that it's what they are leaning towards doing. Just the fact that Kiffin said he has no idea of what these guys can really do is basis on them not naming a starting until at least fall practice. That is something that has been contradicted now based on Reaves comments.

Crompton may well be the starter, and if he is it'll be because he earned it. I have absolutely no reason to believe this staff won't put who they think is the best player on the field. So do you honestly believe that in a month's time they will know or really should know who the starter will be?? So if they are going to settle on a QB in the spring, then all signs point to Crompton, IMO. That's why I think he will be the starter. If he isn't so be it, but history on naming a QB in the spring points to seniority because we have NO ONE coming in the next class to compete, and since there is no one to compete with these guys why not let them compete until fall so that way they can measure more than just one month of practice. I think Crompton starting is a 60% chance, Stephens 30%, and BJ 10%.

I just don't see where they've already "settled" on a QB. All they said is that Crompton will be the first guy to get work. Why does that have to mean he will definitely be the starter in September? Are Coleman and Stephens just not going to get their chance to show what they can do in Spring and Fall practice?
