Any word on his qualifying status? Not heard anything about him in a while.

He's not one of the guys that is supposed to be showing up for second session summer school, but Brent Hubbs has said there are no red flag issues with anyone in this class in terms of getting qualified. This may be a class where we see everyone make it. I don't remember ever seeing that at UT and it's a huge testament to the coaches IMO.

Man, that was a good class. #1 if I remember correctly. I wonder how often the #1 class has everyone qualify. Only lost 9 games in 4 years. Lost 5 games in the last 3.

We just went 5-7.. we can't afford to be redshirting people who don't physically need one. If someone has talent, they need to be on the field in some capacity.

Oku could for sure help on special teams.

I'd really like to see Kiffin give some of these younger guys some shots at Special Teams.. I'd love to see Oku, Teague, or Nuke returning kicks this year...

That'd be awesome!

I remember when Kiffin did his first Vol Calls, he specifically said that special teams were a priority. Screw the redshirt, let them play on special teams.

It's really mind-boggling the talent we are going to have at running back for the foreseeable future. Hardesty will likely start and will be solid if he can stay healthy. Poole is no slouch. Toney Williams looks amazing as a freshman, though he needs some work on technique. Bryce Brown -- what can you say that hasn't been said? And Oku to boot... And we have Eddie Gran coaching them up. Who wouldn't want to come to Tennessee and block for these guys??

Yep...might as well bring the jam cause these guys are going to be the teams Bread 'N' Butter for the next four years. Could be the 09 version of the Chuck Webb and Reggie Cobb show.

The big question is, "will Crompton shock the SEC and finally live up to his recruiting hype?" If he does, I honestly think we have enough talent on this team to stun everyone...including Kiffin himself.

Ah someone mentioned the 94 group, from the league merger until around 2001 or maybe a little later you saw some of the best talent and football played at UT that you can ever hope to see. We were spoiled as fans during that time period. Sure Florida dominated us, Nebraska beat us up twice as well, but nobody else can say much about getting a W against us. Even Bama struggled after we finally ended the streak they had going. Penn St went 2 - 0 in bowls vs the Orange, and there was a fluke loss here or there but the Vols were a handful during the 90's, you could look at the schedule and pick your games darn near 100% correct before the first game. We need those winning ways to be reborn in a bad way, we had forgotten how to win when Wyoming comes to town and pushes us around. New staff is definitely going to turn our guys into controlled chaos, and I can't wait!!

Just when I was really getting pumped I saw the "C" word come up...Jon, we are counting on you cuz, be the man we saw vs LSU when Ainge was hurt brotha, you got this playa.
