Actually Marion County which is South Pittsburgs county seat was 1A then 2A then 3A now back down to 2A and the rival between the 2 Schools is the longest running rival in the State of Tennessee.. which of late years South Pittsburg running thru them...And to answer if David Jones is D1 material or not, I say he is defiantly D1. I believe the only reason he has not been offered yet is he plays single A ball which as proven before A Single A player can be a great asset. I invite any doubter to come see him play.. Marion county starts our season off Aug 29th I do believe..and remember he has other D1 school's making offers.. and Yes he wants Tennessee...

Def coord has been to practice, and david has had a couple meetings in knoxville... fulmer shows great intreast.. here is what i think... David played as what we call second fiddle last year to a guy that had 2,500 yard's David had almost 1,400 and not as 2nd string but as wing... I think they wanna see him in a couple games as "The Man" to see what happens..

I think that some of the linemen we have offered show that if the staff likes him and how many stars they give him will matter more than what the so called experts think. ( nothing personal Rex)

Goodness, I really hate to say this but...I will just say I know Kenny very very well and talk to him all the time..North Jackson bought him a BMW and a couple of 4wheelers and helped get his family a place to live so he would be eligible to play , then Alabama gave give a ton of money in a duffle bag..Which he then went and bought the Camero with..That is a Fact

Oh and chill out on Geno..he is a good guy but talks up players too much sometimes..He will argue with anyone so its pointless to try..Back to Jones, I think David would be all Vol if this was last years recruiting class..Im just not sure of they will have room for him at the end of the year..I know right now he is just a 2 star but he will end up a 3 star at the end of the year at least..

I went down and saw this kid in a scrimmage last Friday..I must say he was very impressive..Great burst, cuts on a dime and really brings the wood..I have a gut feeling he ends up at Auburn or Bama though..

He is a LB if UT offers. Right now they would have to wiff on both Askew and Telfort

Where are his ACTUAL offers from? I dont want to hear who is interested in him or who he is interested in. Who does he hold actual OFFERS from?

I looked up a couple of profiles and looks like his biggest offers so far are from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis and Vanderbilt. The Vanderbilt one is the one that peaked my interest. He much be intelligent if Candy Land is offering. KnoxvilleGuy, why do you think he goes to Bama or Auburn? Have they showed more interest in him or something?

Not sure he's actually been offered by bama, auburn, vandy, or ole miss.

He has been offered by Vandy,Memphis,Ole Miss, and Miss State..He will sign with whoever offers him between Alabama,Auburn, and UT..One will offer at least..

Yes David was born there,but moved to East Tennessee when he was 7.Memphis was the 1st D-1 program to offer him.This not is a thread to get David into UT.It was started to let the Tennessee fans know that there are still quality student athletes here in state.Who will qualify and add stability to any top notch program.

memphis has been recruiting the southern middle tennessee region alot.....they also offered TE ryan stovall out of franklin co. hs before the season started last year

David's going up to Knoxville tomorrow.Signees and recruits are coming for the evening srimmage.

so when you moved you should of went about 10 mins up the road and have him put on some purple instead of that orange and black lol....just kiddin spider best of luck for the both of yall.....:rock:
