There are so many idiots who's job it is to talk (media) even when they have nothing to say - which means the 1st name that pops in their head gets spoken, somebody repeats it, and all of sudden we are getting Cut, Fulmer again, etc. We don't have to do anything - Kippy, Chaney, and Thompson would be better than a rerun. There are so many coaches out there and we have some waiting if none are interested.

The main reason he was let go at ole miss was that he couldnt (or wouldnt) recruit. We do not want him here.

No it wasn't...He was fired for being loyal...The AD wanted him to fire his defensive coordinator and he refused so they fired him...Cut is a fine recruiter but not really what we want here...his style is old school and We should just go ahead and hire Fulmer back if We want to go in that direction....Oh the horror:crazy:

I know there are lots of offensive schemes out there. Watching Cutcliffes offense as the might as well say SCREEN PASS OFFENSE. I would rather get punched in the face than watch that slop every saturday.:bad:
+1...I get so tired of hearing all the morons ask Hamilton about the chance of Fulmer coming back. How stupid do you have to be to even ask the question?

Then how stupid do you need to be, still, to continue asking after he has stated clearly....NO?

This is a similar case with Cutcliffe...Fulmerites trying to hang on to any vestige of the Fulmer regime. Let's move on. For one thing, Cutcliffe...instead of staying and maintaining some stability until a good opportunity came up, he jumps at the first thing that moves.

First with Ole Miss...dead end job. Then Duke...dead end with a 1000 ft cliff at the end.

exactly. but the no down field passing schemes irritate me with cutcliffe. The man is scared to throw deep or over the middle.

Cutcliffe will work for peanuts, just to get back to the SEC. He's tired of losing in the mediocre ACC.

My gut is wrenching to think we would hire Cutcliffe as head coach or Failmer for that matter. I would absolutely puke along with many Vol fans on that one and that would be the last straw for Hamilton. Cmon, we cant go back to the sorry days of old. We are too big of a program to SETTLE!!!!!! Hamilton has to do his job that he is getting paid big buck for. There are fitting coaches still out there. GET ON THE PHONE AND STAY ON IT HAMMIE!!!!

If he hires Cut, Hamilton is saying "I am satisfied with winning 7 or 8 games a year and making the annual trip to a middle tier bowl".

Coach Cut  as head coach with Kippy as OC and recruiting coordinator and possibly Thompson as DC.

i hope not, he already has health problems we would probably be back on the hunt for a new coach in 2 years.

I'll believe it when I hear the announcement. Remember, ESPN said that USC was talking to Mariucchi at the same time they were talking to Kiffin. ESPN hardly even acknowledged Kiffin as a candidate until he was hired. This could be a smoke screen from the University....

Why is everyone think it will be Cut? Didnt he say he was happy at Duke last year when we were going thru this crap. not that it would bother me too much, just wondering why everyone feels its his job

If Cutty is the HC, brings in Randy Sanders, and goes after Chavis...volnation would have to officially be put on suicide watch.
