That doesn't mean he turned it down. Coaches do that all the time when they know they're not going to get the job.

Fulmer would still be the coach if Cutcliffe had not left for Duke (would have had great recruiting class in 2008 and winning season). When Cut left (w/ his assistants) and Troop was gone, everything fell apart. Just like USC is Kiffin's dream job, UT is the dream job for Cut. He would keep Kippy... loyalty is important this time around!!!

Love Cutcliffe but IMO (not that it matters)I don't think he is a strong enough of a recruiter to be the Man here. Also his age scares me a bit.

The main reason he was let go at ole miss was that he couldnt (or wouldnt) recruit. We do not want him here.
