He turned Tennessee down to stay at Duke. Put that in perspective..People need to realize that Tennessee football is not what it used to be..Schiano would been a perfect hire for this team. I believe he would have brought respect back to this program or at least have it trending in a positive direction. Now u have to pay Schiano and Butch Jones and u still have to find a coach to pay..

Third thread about this that I’ve seen. It’s a big no story. They did it to appease fans. They’re not hiring Cutcliffe and he doesn’t want the job.

Turn in your VFL card at the door, and please logout..
Sunday was one of the best days in this fanbases history..
When you’re giving Haslam his backrub tonight to console him from what happened this weekend, let him know Volnation said hi.

P.S.
Long live the fan revolution, and Vol Twitter is still undefeated..

Cut is old. Why on earth would he want our drama in his life right now? He’s got a pretty sweet gig staying right where he is.

As for everything else you said, ead.

What did you expect? Cut is in his 60's and has it made at Duke and has said before he has ZERO interest in leaving for any other job, he plans to retire from Duke. So your little drivel is not even close to the truth

Davenport never signed MOU, UT won’t have to pay schiano a damn thing. He would’ve been 4yrs more of the same, Cut is content at Duke with no pressure to win or recruit at a high level. Has nothing to do with Tenn not being a good job. Stop reading natl media garbage and think for yourself

There are so many people that make me wonder why they call themselves vols fans. All this garbage about good coaches won't come here because of the fans, or because UT isn't the job it used to be. Who made it that way? It wasn't the fans but the fans routinely get blamed for every bad thing that comes UT's way, like this is how we want it. Those are stupid, defeatist, mosquito d*ck threads and comments. If this is you, turn in your vol card and go pull for a team that makes you proud to even associate yourself with. We don't need or want this negativity.

The “Vol fans” who blame the fan base are the water carriers, ball washers and t**nt blowers.

Exactly on point. Awesome post. Cut can keep winning 6-7 games and they will put up a statute of him in Duke. ESPN is extremely liberal and is simply trying to tear down UT because of our conservative fan base. ESPN is failing miserable like the NYT and Washington Post.

I don’t think Cutcliffe is a good fit for either party, so it’s not surprising that this administration reached out to him.

He is old and settled in at Duke expectations are low. That is the reason he stayed there.

Who the hell is Clutcliff?

Probably best that we don't hire someone up there in their years. The expectations from our increasingly entitled fanbase would give them a heart attack.
