We need to get Blackburn on board ASAP. He'll get this football team straightened out or the house will be cleaned.

I blamed our poor play on injuries but it has to go deeper than that. Defense wins championships and we just wasted a year for Tyler Bird using him on offense. I don't believe he caught a pass last night.

If he really was a star safety in high school, he needs to be playing defense or playing both ways.

That game, last night, was hard to watch.

I hope he is allowed to get here...someone posted here a few days ago that BOT Anderson was not on the Blackburn train...and do we have to wait for the new chancellor to be in place?

I'm afraid the administration will screw up the Blackburn hire as well. We'll probably get stuck with someone like Hamilton.

Hearing rumors that our new Chancellor is holding up Blackburn hire. The higher ups at UT trying to screw the pooch again, good grief he is a slam dunk hire for the position. Let's open up the checkbook and go get us a quality coach and staff that can compete at the highest level. The great fans of this state deserve a quality top flight coach and staff and program. ADMINISTRATION GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!!! GBO!!!!!!

Does anybody have word on Peyton and Fulmer having anything to do with an AD decision? Have to believe they would offer good suggestions on getting Blackbird up here.

This will be her first big hire. I suspect she will take her time given the law suit that the program went through last year and not be rushed by crazy football folks.

If she doesn't and just blanket approves whomever she is told to hire - she is not doing her job IMO and there was no reason to hire her.

I have serious doubts about Blackburn becoming the AD. It is too simple and UT Administration never does the simplest thing. Like Jones they tend to complicate things - plus the big money donors can't even agree on a candidate.

My question to some here that knows about the process is why does Hart stay til June or whenever it is that he's leaving? Surely when the new Chancellor is brought in she could bring in a new AD.

Everyone sure he has the knowledge and ability now being at Chattanooga to hire the next big name to get this show straightened out.

If you have ANY doubt, you better look around and find someone who has identified and hired successful football coaches. Terry Mojhair at Arkansas State has done it several times.
