This. If Amerson played 1:1 all it would take is one good pump fake, and then either JH or CP would be heading to the cheggarboards.

Nc St may not have that choice. Doubt they double team him the whole game. They will get killed if they do by CP, Rivera, Blanc and Neal catching and running out of the backfield. They may try that to start the game but probably not a good idea with the weapons and I think Blanc could have a big game along with Neal and DY will probably get several chances in the open field.

Amerson is certainly a good athlete. Looking at his interception footage he did break on some balls but a majority were horrible passes. As was stated before, he is not a lockdown corner and will be exposed - if Bray is on. Our offense needs to execute, play hard, establish the ground game and Amerson is not a factor. I think our Vols are hungry to wash the kentucky stink off and more than eager to take on a middle of the road ACC team. Come friday,,,,,,,,,it's on.

Honestly I hope we pass for less than 250 and run for 200. I think that's best case scenario in regards to hope for the rest of the season.

I think Amerson will get an INT in Friday's game. I just think it's bound to happen as many times as we throw.

But it won't really matter.

Amerson has 2 picks against liberty, they hey threw 4 in the game. 1 against s alabama. 1 against cinci. 2 of the 4 picks thrown my central michigan. 2 of the 3 thrown by virginia. 1 of the 3 by north carolina. 1against boston college. 1 against clemson. 2 against louisville. Count me as not impressed.

This. A bunch of underthrown balls, which isn't Bray's problem. A few 'fling it and hope' balls (which is), but those receivers didn't help their quarterback, either. 13 interceptions is more a reflection of State's weak schedule than this guy's cover skills.

He did look good an an open field runner, though....

We may not have to throw it 40+ this year so maybe he wont. He is a very overrated corner.

I'm all for giving the guy his due, but I think we go at him a bit and get in his head. I made a thread earlier about this very subject, although I did not know that they ran a zone blitz defense when I started it.

In any case, he is good, but there are a couple in the sec like him. That is not a knock on him, but it's true.

If they run cover 2/3, then Young and Neal ought to have a field day catching out of the backfield.

Yeah most of those were just a result of him being on the underneath coverage and a poorly underthrown ball. It's not like he got a lot of well thrown balls and wrestled them away from good receivers or played man up and jumped routes, although a couple were. One against liberty and south Alabama. Lol.

Hunters role is to take the ball deep, take the top off the defense...if he can't get to it nobody can get to it

I agree with you. He is good but who really cares. If our guys have one ounce of heart in them they will be pawing at the ground to take it to him. For those that have played we all understand you want to beat the best. I hate to say it but we lost plenty of games with EB in the backend. Time to stop worrying who they have or who we are missing and head into ATL like a locomotive that is going to show the world we are back. Less than 72 hours and The Big Orange Express leaves the station...

I they play that guy 1 on 1 with Hunter! I promise Tyler Bray is much better than so called QBs. Hunter will eat this guy alive... What a joke, 14 ints HA!

Outrunning a properly played zone is like speeding a sports car away from the policeman's radio. NCSt seems to be a zone heavy D. That does not make for so many NFL style matchups, but does open other opportunities.
