Hooker has a good sense of humor. Flame away VN.

Tends to drift towards middle school humor too often. Has good content when he sticks to facts he has uncovered. When he starts giving opinions or rambling on and on and on about non sports related stuff, it is not good. Still seems miffed that Fulmer threw him out of a practice and can't let that go, but still better than most that are on the air around here.

Hate to have him off the air at 1, but looking forward to hearing him in Chatt. I'm interested to see how he handles all of the GA, AL and FL calls. It's amazing to me how different Chatt is from Knoxville even though we are so close.

Quite a few bandwagon Bammers and Gators here. It's ridiculous.

Why is Hooker going from doing his own show, to doing a show were he has to share the spotlight? I don't know anything about Dave Hooker. I listen to SportTalk on my drive home and like it for the entertainment value not necessarily for the hard sports news and conversations. No one will replace Dr. B!!!!

Love the show and listen every day on the ride home. I think Hooker will be a great fit. I love his dry sense of humor and the fact we will be getting more Vol coverage. Does anyone know if he will be moving to Chatt or doing the show from remote?

Dont think Ive ever heard Hooker, but Ive only listened to that show a few times. I can't get it at home but as I get to my work I can. I think my dad thought they were goof balls. Is the show any good in the sense of what they talk about and its flow? I like press row

I've been listening on the commute home since its beginning 25+ years back. Used to be a riot because of all the listener interaction with folks calling up pretending to be characters such a Spike, pro wrestler imitators, and Too Sweet. Personally I never cared much for the Dr. B character (I assume that was a radio personality and not the real person's character) and instead enjoyed his brother Jerry much more as he brought UT recruiting info and such before the internet sites. They've gotten more lazy the longer they've been on the air and bring very little content to the show any longer. 105.1 has a competing sports show with better content IMHO, TIFWIW.

Joining Sport Talk in Chattanooga as the new co-host. Happy for Quake and Joe. They've done a phenomenal job since the passing of Dr. B. Hope Dave will bring some great things to the show.

What's the freq? I drive through Chatt some on may way to and from ATL.

Paschal is great! Used to love him on Sport Talk. He cheated to win "The Great Pee Off" at the Stone Lion back in the 90's (aka battery bust).

Greeson is hard to listen to when Paschal's out.

Sport Talk is fun. A little sillly at times, but most always entertaining. Hooker should be a nice addition.

In case you hadn't heard by now, I'll be joining WGOW in Chattanooga with Scott McMahen and Joe Varner on SportTalk. Thanks Bill Lockhart and everyone there for the opportunity. However, I'd much rather be working with Gary Haskew as well. Continue to pray for Rita Haskew in her time of loss. God bless her, his family and friends. He was truly a legend and will be missed.

Being right on the state line doesn't help. Lots of people live in Georgia and Alabama and drive in for work. The gator fans are the pathetic ones. Kinda like the ones on Volnation. :)
