Football Scoop is reporting Dave Hart and Charlie Strong met yesterday (Saturday). TIFWIW.

Thought I'd pass along the message.

From this site I have heard that Hart has met with Gruden, Fisher, Stoops, Hitler, Sandusky and even the great Bear Bryant, why would I believe this? Doubt this is true

Maybe we are looking at different sites. I just did a search over the first 10 pages, which gives info back to 10/3/12, and couldn't seem to find any posts connecting Tennessee to Fisher, Stoops, Hitler, Sandusky, or Bear Bryant.

it was confirmed on 2 of the pay sites that Hart met with Strong on Friday and will meet Gundy on Sunday

Wes Rucker and some beat reporter for Fox Sports had a go around as to whether Strong and Hart actually met on Twitter. It was an entertaining exchange to say the least.

I can't stand Rucker. I'm sure he fits in real nice with the rest of the smarmy sports media folks in Knoxville.

I also spoke to Charlie three times yesterday folks...He says there was no interview yesterday or today.....Not sure what else to say.

I just spoke with Charlie Strong, there was NO interview with Tennessee today folks, zero. He is entertaining OV's in Louisville..

Strong would be a good choice. Try not to be blinded by things like "he lost to Rutgers" and his recruit class is "#47."

It's not about one game or one recruit class. It's about what he's done (or any coach has done) relative to the situation they are in. Obviously UofL is not going to pull in a Top-5 class, dare I say, EVER. But, what he has done with UofL relative to what UofL and the Big East are, CS has done a great job there. Same as Franklin at Vandy. And same as (I know I'll catch backlash) Golden while at Temple. These are all apples and oranges comparisons and should be taken that way.

You can't just look at nominal things like "#47 recruit class--I don't want him." Or, "he's 8-4, he's an underachiever." Everything has to be taken into consideration under it's own context.

One example: Dooley (vomit) would NEVER have been able to recruit 4 and 5 star guys while he was LA Tech. But, within a 2 weeks of him being at Tennessee, he was able to get both Justin Hunter and David Rickey, 4* and 5*, future 1st round picks and NFL WR's.....

....this was because of BOTH Dooley and Tennessee. Kiffin could not land them while he was recruiting them and Dooley would never had gotten them to play for him at LA Tech. It takes a good situation at a great university with a solid recruiter to (re)build a program. And Strong is one of the few, IMO, that can do that.

im sure UL doesent budget much for recruiting so i am sure hes blowing expectations outta the water on that front.

Exactly^^^

Same as Franklin at Vandy--he could do big things for brining in talent here.
