I know this is crazy, but I thought about something and had to see what everyone else thought. I am sure I will get some interesting comments. Go easy on me okay. :)

Let's say Fulmer blows it big time and goes 5-7. Hamilton and the Boosters agree it is time for Fulmer to go. Any new, young and up and coming coach that you hire is taking a chance, because you don't know how they will do at this level anyways.

Could they give Dave Clawson a shot by signing him to a 1 year contract deal? He is a proven head coach at other levels. He is young. He is obviously a good recruiter along with Lattrell Scott. They have already got a good class coming, so by retaining him you would likely keep a lot of them. This way he gets to call the shots, benching Crompton if he wants. He can let a freshman (Nunes??) start right out of the gate if he so chooses. He really hasn't had a chance to prove himself, because obviously he has not really been able to run the offense the way he wants for whatever reason. You really don't want to lose him until he has a chance to prove himself, and any other new HC you bring in would probably bring his own staff.

This is a 1-year deal. If he meets expectations sign him to a 3-year deal next. What do you think? Crazy or Possible?

Don't laugh, people. He could turn dangerous.

Zero chance. Ask yourself this, if you're an AD with almost as much heat on your backside as the HC, are you going to risk your future like that?
