Dave Clawson, our new OC? (merged)

My brother played for Clawson from 2000-2004 at Fordham. He turned the Program from 0-11 to winning the patriot league and makign the quarterfinals in three years, then went to Richmond and has turned that program around. He was actually known as a offensive guru who has a vast offense, three receivers two backs, etc. Ive met him before and he is a good guy, who all the players respected. he even recruited well in Florida to a D-I AA school

his accomplishments thus far have me a little intrigued. good post, welcome to the board.

and if there's a guy that fits the mold most of us have been speculating on, it's a young up and comer with a big offensive mind, based on what i've read, that's him. he just isn't the "name" most of us heard of. but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work.

very few had heard of Bruce Pearl jakez. I like him more every time i hear about him.

different animal all together. and like i said, the more i read and hear about him, the more intrigued i am with him.

I love how things have hopefully started to turn for the positive over the last 24 hours...

Someone mentioned Campbell as a WR coach earlier but KNS reported that Loeffler and Debord had been interviewed. What's the skinny?

I think Campbell was wishful thinking. I've not seen anything that leads me to believe he's a legitimate candidate.

well guys, I would describe the feeling of anticipation as greater than that for a Saltgrass steak dinner but much less than a full on chubber.

Clawson doesn't have a mustash, we can't possibly hire him, all the assistants sport stashes, even new RB hire.:p

SportsTalk in Chattanooga had talked to the Richmond backup QB and he hated the thought of losing his Coach but wished him the best if the rumors are true. He said Clawson's strong point was an ability to run the same play but disguise it by using different formations, very creative.

yep
I guess you could call our offense so far this year interesting

Who to blame?? An inept QB or a vanilla offense. Both are issues, but if you don't have someone who can run the offense in the first place it becomes harder to succeed. Both obviously need work, but Cromp has got to progress more to get more of the offense going.
