So stupid. You really think (Hall of Fame and national championship winning head coach) Phillip Fulmer would advocate for Dave Clawson, the guy who pretty much put the final nail in his coaching career. Brilliant take.

if they cant afford Campbell buyout which i dont want him anyway, then there's no way they will get jimbo fisher and no way i want mullen. we might as well keep hoke for 500k a year.

with all due respect, Fulmer was 8-7 in bowl games had 1 NC, won 2 conference title in 16 years. he's overrated and you know it...compare that to saban or spurrier or miles or meyer.

Cut is a good coach but we'll be doing this again in a few years due to health issues IMO with him. Too many good options out there to go that route.

If fans continue to support a crappy product then they have no reason to complain about it. If he rolls out Schiano or Clawson or some other mid major people should make their opinions felt.

Stop. Currie was here when Fulmer had the Clawfence experiment. Not happening. More of the media making fun of UT. Cut is 100 and lost to Army. Giant F.U. if either of these are hired.

Who else is he supposed to play? And his team was an absolute dumpster fire when he took over. They had 3 3-9 seasons before he got there. They are now 7-0 in conference, 7 game winning streak, first in their division, and 8-3 overall.

As for the USC stuff, he took his dream job and didn’t know about all the sanctions. Had he known he would have never gone. Not many coaches would have. He was behind the 8 ball from the get go.

Kiffin, with a huge UT friendly buyout to prevent a repeat of the 2009 Night of the Burning Mattresses... along with a $4,100,000 salary and decent performance bonus package, and enough $$$ to lure the best OC, DC, and assistants/recruiters possible could do for us what Smart is doing for UGA.

I do not like what he did to us, but he did try to be honest and not leave without any sort of explanation, though his announcement could not have been less awkward. But consider the circumstances: USC was his dream job and they dropped a boatload of $$$ on the table. How many of us would have turned that down, honestly? Hamilton was just as much at fault for that fiasco as Kiffin, if not more so, for having his buyout at only $800,000!!!

Now, Kiffin has matured somewhat. He has learned a few hard-learned lessons from life. He has sat under the tutelage of Saban and Company, we have seen the genius of his offensive skills at work, and he has stayed out of trouble. FAU took a chance on him and made him HC this year. He has recruited well, coached well, and his team has performed very well. If Currie is willing to take a chance that Volition won't tar-and-feather him... then run him out of town for doing so... he ought to give a serious thought to giving Kiffin a call. He could do much worse (Schaino).

....ah...who would care about Tennessee football. They'll have a hard time funding all those stadium improvements.

If they hire Dave Clawson who is 110-107 for his career and 20-28 at his current gig then it shows you exactly what the University wants out of it's football team. A blindly loyal fan base that continues to spend money on a mediocre product.
