Darren Myles

uh yeah im reaL serious you ever see reviez or bray or simms or any those boys out makin dumbass decisions NO. all these boys see in football is makin it to the next level as fast as possible and takin home young white girls with a big ass, big rims on their car, and living the "hood" life since everyone wants that. :ermm: They need to grow up and start being responsible for their actions.
Those Colquitt boys were credits to the program. We need more classy caucasians like them to teach those savage Negro players how to act.

Thank goodness for all the Pigeon Forge philosophers. We wouldn't have a moral compass without them.

Think about this as well. Do we really want players on our team that care more about drinking, than they do studying, or being the best they can be on the field? How good of a player can u be if you are always drinking?

They are college students, colleges in general would be empty if you took the kids that experimented with Alcohol off the campus! We don't need thugs (those that assualt). I'm sure Dooley wil do whats right once all the info is in. Remember most had JJ gone until all the info was in and he was cleared. Relax and let them sort out who the dumbasses are!!!!!

I was lucky enough last year to get into a practice and watch a little bit. I was just randomly paying attention to the DBs and noticed that Myles was in on the drill but literally looking the other way when Garza was trying to show the group something ..... Garza kicked him out of that rep and he just went to the side and stood there as if nothing wrong even happened. Ever since that, I just always never had a good feeling about him

Didn't Britton also give a speech at MADD, or some such organization after several DUI's? That was a ridiculous situation.

And idiots are idiots, regardless of race. Replace Simms, Bray, and Reveiz with Berry, Walker, and Williams.

I remember a play in the UA (or was it Army) All-Star game the year Myles played, when he got burned by Marlon Brown on a play, and then either he gave up on it, or Marlon just burned him for pace to the end zone. I don't know if it was work ethic, or not. Either way, I was surprised - not pleasantly.

Having said that, it will be a huge loss not to have him this season. This isn't a "I never wanted him anyway" post. If he was somehow legitimately absolved of guilt in this, I would be thrilled.

Somebody on this board said we shouldn't take Markeith Ambles. One of the reasons was that it is very crowded at WR. Well, Rogers, Moore and Milton are all three involved in this foolishness. If they get off this time, they should be on a short leash from here on out. Darren Myles is probably gone or suspended for a while. He not only is a 2 time loser, but couldn't even outrun a cop.

Freshman are going to get into trouble no matter how much you warn them. They always think " I won't get caught" until they do. Book it. Won't be the last time at UT or UGA or any other SEC school. It takes time to mature and learn from your mistakes.

you "boys will be boys" guys are full of crap......everybody is responsible for what they do no matter what the age.....in our punitve society, we all have to be careful....especially if you are over 18

Really? A UGA fan talking about discipline?

not saying we are immune to 18-21 yr olds making youthful mistakes but show me........SHOW me where Richt let any incident go unpunished. Mettenberger, a potential starter at QB was shown the door. Evens, our AD.....shown the door. Any alcohol related incident involving a student athlete results in a minimum one game suspension.......and that's the next scheduled game.

Dooley clearly dropped the ball when he failed to discipline Myles several weeks ago. He is just as much to blame here as his players.

I will say I can't recall any armed robberies or police beatings by any of GA's players...........yet.

I hate it for you guys because UT is one of the flagship schools of SEC and as such any indiscretions by any of our conference's athletes hurts our overall image.

What have you heard on this situation?

What fantasy world do you live in? The self-serving teachers unions are reluctant to fail students. Hell, we wouldn't want to hurt someone's feelings and lose funding because our educators are incompetent miscreants. There's no need for a state championship game anymore. Everyone deserves a medal! So much for that punitive society.

We're doing nothing but coddling our youth these days. Liberals can explain this "fairness dogma" to you in further detail.

Hey, I'm what you might call a "Liberal" and I will be the first to tell you that this everybody gets a trophy and fairness is a bunch of crap. We are creating a "Narcissistic Society" all of the youth today feel entitled.

Well, you're not a liberal then. You're just confused.

Myles had it coming. It's a difficult situation -- and we all have to live with our decisions. I grew tired of the situation with UT's program a while ago. We're turning into nothing more than an abject failure. Who's next???

 Dude, seriously... 'Dooley is just as much to blame here as his players'.... That is an asinine statement if I ever heard one. You're just wrong on this one.. You really need to get off this, shut up and go back to dawg land...

Fantasty? If you are waiting for teachers to raise your kids, you and the kids are already screwed. This would be on the parents. If you bred them you need to raise them, not wait on whatever else comes along to do it for you....... or you can rant about liberals.....I dont think it fantasy to exspect a 18 year old to know if he goes to a bar, drinks, and puts himself at the mercy of other screw ups.....things are not going to work out well. If you are underage, drink at home in the safety of your friends.

Totally agree, parenting has become a lost art.

A very interesting hypothesis. However, since I don't have children yet (not that old), I'm not expecting anyone to raise them. At the same time -- when the Mrs. and I do decide -- I'll raise them like any other responsible adult. I'm merely pointing out that your "punitive society" message is a pipe dream. Generally speaking, the youth in this country act like nothing more than entitled brats.

I do, however, agree with your assessment that 18-year-olds better learn to behave among their peers at such fine adult establishments like Bar Knoxville. Hey, I had plenty of fun in college, but I managed to stay out of the pokey. Perhaps it's because my mom put her foot up my arse when I was a youngster. You can't touch anyone these days without ruining their delicate sensibilities and having CPS show up at your door.

Sadly, this is what happens when you take God out of school and don't allow parents to discipline their kids.
