Darrell Taylor says coaching has made him better

Sounds like Tracy Rocker also deserves some credit as well
It would be a very good thing to get Tracy some big nastys to anchor or add much needed depth to our DLine in the next couple of years. We have a big boy committed from Nashville,(Simmons?), I think is his name. I hope Rocker can make a nose-tackle out of him because this fellow goes 350+ lbs. Suppose to be fast for his size.

He's a project but he's a member of his hs track team doing sprint relays. Somebody thinks he's fast.

A guy on 247 was critical of CJP for not fawning over Taylor’s accomplishments. Hopefully we ALL know by now JP not going to do that. He’s team team team and individual accomplishments are an afterthought to him and I completely agree. You don’t see Saban doing that either. Just a thought.

Hes a freak athlete. Like all 350 lb peeps he will need to get in much better shape to play meaningful snaps.

Lawless was reported to be cleared to enroll at UNC in August but he does not appear to be on their roster.
Maybe grayshirted? If they were trying to add someone else.

If he gets another 10+ sacks next year, he will go 1st round.

He might sneak in this year.

Dude showed Jeveon Kearse type athleticism on Saturday. He seemed very motivated to show he was the best edge player and not Josh Allen.

Taylor was a WR/KR in high school.
At 256 lbs now, i still think he is sub 4.5.

He'll get 3 more sacks this Saturday.

Taylor is one of my favorite players on this team. When he said WGWTFA at the battle at Bristol, I knew he was going to be special. Saturday’s performance proved it.
Taylor needs to build off his Kentucky performance and show much more consistency in performance. He seems to have the talent and explosiveness at times to be an outstanding player, but then he disappears for games at a time in terms of making a significant outcome. He has 7 sacks this season, all of which came in 2 games, none in the other 8. Reggie was special, Derek was special, Al was special.....Darrell still has a ways to go.

If he steps it up the next two games, he could easily be draft material. But I think he will come back.

He would need to come back for a higher status. 7 of his sacks were in 2 games which were quality opponents but it doesn't show the consistency of producing every game. He was also a nonfactor last year which isn't really all of his fault since Butch killed the program. If he comes back next year and produces then he could sniff the 1st or 2nd round.
