Darnell Wright Leaving?

I'm sorry but what a joke. Why is a player announcing that he isn't transferring? Should we expect 70 other similar announcements?

Enough with this spotlight-seeking, me -irst, diva garbage. Hopefully the next coach will find some hard working team-first men's men who don't look for every opportunity to draw attention to themselves. I want more guys like the Mays brothers and K Calbert.

IMO he's underperformed even more so than Wanya. Would I prefer he stay? Yes of course, always potential to develop into a better player. However, at this point in UT football does it really even matter?

He arrived a few days before Fall Camp in 19 and was thrust into action as a true freshman. Didn't get Spring Camp because of COVID and had Friend as an OL coach.

I believe he also fought through some injuries and had several days out for contact tracing.

Most OL don't start until Jr or RS Jr season so I think he will be fine with a full Spring Camp and a new OL Coach.

I think that he was making a statement to support the team, in the face of those who are leaving.
