so if Miz is #2 in the east then Vandy must be #3 bcos they almost beat them. You are entitled to your opinion, mine is the coaches didn't have that team ready. To get beat is one thing, to get smacked in the mouth and have to like it is another.
I agree on the JG part but it appears to me that there are some members of this team that have no heart or pride in playing for Tenn. And no I don't think UCF could have beaten Bama or Ga. but I do think they should have been given the opportunity. I mean what are these schools outside of the power 5 conferences playing for if you cant play for the brass ring?Transitive property argument again. So...then you believe that UCF would have beaten Bama or UGA last year? After all, they did beat the one team that beat them both.
DG is a solid poster. He uses objective data to form his opinions. He made an argument that I happen to agree with. Simple as that. Yes, it was an embarrassing beatdown, and the Vols could have played much better. But those who thought this defense could shut down a well-balanced 38 point offense...even at home...speaks for itself.
And as we finally saw with our own eyes (those who can see), JG is our best option at QB. Once he went into the locker room, so did our chances. Sorry, but it is what it is.
Go Vols.
If Vandy jobs us and we look like we can't play fundamental football (NOT throwing INTs or fumbling the ball away) it very well could begin to feel like GounrdHog Day around here.

Actually, Missouri IS that good. Go read DG's takeaways. Mizzou may be the #3 team in the SEC. Definitely no worse than #2 in the East.
May be simple, doesn't make it right though. There has to be a solution other than money and that's where the bottom line is. Example Loyola Marymount making final 4 last year. What an experience for those young men to tell their grandchildren.Anyone that signs with UCF, FAU, FIU, Navy, Wake Forest, Vandy, VA Tech, hell, right now UT, and you can fill in the other 100 or so FBS teams that this applies to...either knows up front that they have virtually no chance of ever getting to the CFB playoff, or they can hope one of the 15 or 20 schools that do will offer them a greyshirt.
Simple as that.
Go Vols.
