Darius Thompson is gone.

Post where I said LT wouldn't let DT come back, then remind me who needs comprehension lessons. And since you know them and intimated that Martin was at fault for a subpar freshman year on the court, which is what I repeatedly stated, why would they be so upset as to sit out a year and leave? Why not give the new coach who knows how to use a pg a chance?

It doesn't add up. Period. They are so pissed that the bad coach that made him a worse player is gone, they decide to leave with him. Something else is there and you know it. Or maybe you don't. Common sense takes over many times.

This is why there is no arguing with you..You appear to have selective reading comprehension when it doesn't suit your own purpose..I even quoted that exact statement from you in post #158(which you posted in post #94) ..As for you continuing to beat a dead horse and insisting you know why Darius left, it is plain and simple BS..I told you why and yet you still claim otherwise..Yes, I do know them and I know there were SEVERAL reasons why Darius left..And it was Darius that left, not "they"..That seems to be your overwhelming difficulty with all this..You keep insisting LT made this happen and once again, it was Darius who chose to move on..Like I said, Darius left with class and I for one applaud the contributions he made while here..But don't let that get in the way of your fantastic LT conspiracy theory...

I think the pressure was too great on Darius. If he had been beaten out with this new team for the PG position, it would have probably ended his college basketball career. It appears now that maybe the college game was too much for him and he wants another year to mature. What other reason would you sit out a year before? Too much physical conditioning ahead?

Using the ignore function is an admission that you let someone on a message board get to you. Proud to say I've never felt the need to use it.

I've only used it once and it was due to becoming exhausted of reading the insults thrown at a player and his family -there wasn't an argument evolving me as homey don't play that game.

Ignore is really useful if you (ahem :)) log on a lot from a phone. Saves a lot of scrolling and battery usage.

Not to impose, but I feel like you guys are on different wave lengths. Chris isn't trying to suggest Thompson had an all-sec year, or that he put up monster numbers, he's saying maybe the phrase "thanks for a great season" wasn't solely about his stats. Maybe darius met some nice people, made some life long friends, and genuinely had a good experience on The Hill off the court.

Maybe the "thanks for a great season" is about much more than simply his 2/2/2 stat line, and is about the life experience he got and good times he will take with him throughout his life. So following up what Thompson said with throwing out his stat line and saying "it doesn't sound like a great year to me" might be a misinterpretation of what his statement actually meant.

Jmo

That's obviously what I've been talking about this whole time, as I explicitly stated several times.

DT 's subpar year isn't on him. It's on Martin just like a poster said in a post above. Get that thru your dumbass head man. I've mentioned his skill set many times. Or just ignore me because since Martin left you have become clown that is so butthurt, you can't realize your coach killed the kids first year with pathetic coaching and planning.
For the last time, none of its on DT. Its on your boy.

Why you so butt hurt ?

I just wonder why it's ok to have that opinion but not ok for others to have one that varies. I have no problem with what you posted above.
Now, back it ignoreland for you.
To add, jrich showed a different intensity and energy as a freshman. Just saying.

I'm not sure what this was about. I was trying to be funny about the ignore thing. Someone said something about only thin-skinned people using "ignore" and I was saying it was also useful for skimming over cat-fights to find the factual stuff. (But that post of mine was removed...?) It was a joke. I do use ignore, but it's just because I'm a prude. And a Christian prude at that. I don't like to see "Jesus" and "Christ" used as profanity. That's the only thing that'll get folks on my "ignore" list. I'm fine with all opinions on sporting matters and enjoy a good heart-felt argument.

It was 100% sarcastic post.

In that case I'll reset my sarcasm meter and go back into my dark corner. (Still wonder where my post went, though...)

I think yours was an innocent bystander when the mods cleaned up the snarkier posts. Maybe yours had a quote from an original post that was removed, so yours went too. I'm surprised mine didn't go, but I think there were some interval posts before mine. :dunno:

There's often some collateral damage when mods have to do cleanup. :hi:

I saw where AJD decided on UCF and it made wonder about DT. Do we have any ideas yet where he might be headed or looking at?
