Da'Rick's Future After Next Season

Thanks OP for taking the time to find all this info. IMO I think it honestly just depends on how well this season goes (obviously) and what happens with the staff, players, hype going into 2013.. etc. I find it interesting he has better stats then alot of the big names we have heard about the last few years, but then again you have to take into account he was the primary target 3/4 of the season, while those other guys had less of key role in their respective wr cores. All I know is Rodgers is very gifted and can't wait to see him light it up. GO VOLS!!

Maybe not Bray.

He has dropped automatically to at least 3rd QB due to Barkely and Jones staying.

Plus the fact he has only played about 1 full year as QB.

If Bray stays healthy the whole season and plays like he is capable of then IMO he passes Jones in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Barkley is another story though. I think it would be just about impossible for Bray to pass him in draft status.

who thinks Bray,Hunter,Rogers are all gone if they have the season we all think they should have?

I don't know if that would happen. In fact, I highly doubt it will. But it is an interesting thought to think of how much UT's offense would change in one year's time if all 3 left.

Next season's offense will be Tyler Bray at QB throwing it around to Hunter, Rogers, Rivera, and possibly Patterson.

If all 3 (Bray, Rogers, Hunter) leave early for the NFL the 2013 offense would be completely different. I'm thinking Nathan Peterman throwing it around to Jason Croom, Quinshad Davis, Drae Bowles, and Vincent Dallas. Not to mention we would still have the same RB core. Marlin, Bourque, and Neal.

Probably won't happen. But that would be a drastic change to an offense.

that's a pretty incredible stat. His stats are above and beyond the others. Everybody plays cupcake games and pads their stats, so that's pretty telling.

Thanks guys. And I agree. Was really blown away with how much better Da'Rick's stats were compared to the real elite SEC WRs. He produced on the field head and shoulders better than Julio Jones, AJ Green, and Percy Harvin did their sophomore years. All 3 were high 1st round draft picks.

He doesnt say "#lambogrind" for the hell of it. This kid is focused on the money aspect of football, which is unfortunate for him and his teammates. He is gone after this year and rightly so, but worrying about your draft status is never going to help the team as a whole. He is a hell of a player and one day maybe he will realize that his time in college was alot more fun than what thinks at the moment

I would say all 3 are gone if they preform as well as they have shown flases of.

Da'rick is one of the best recievers we have ever had at UT and one of my favorite players ever. He's out there having fun and doing a hell of a job. A little loud for some of the blue hairs here in Volnation but I enjoy it. Also not sure why he has a reputation of not being a hard worker, from what I've seen he went from a struggleing freshman season with rumors he was lazy and struggeling to adapt to the college game to one of the best recivers in the country as a sophomore. That doesn't happen unless he's putting in the work.

If Bray puts up numbers against the big schools he's gone. Again a kid who many in vnation dislike for some reason and labled lazy, when I see a kid thrown out into a no win situation his freshman year and put up video game numbers againt almost every teams he's been on the feild against. We will miss both of these guys when they leave and don't expect more like them anytime soon. If bray struggles with the big games he's the only one we have a shot at his sr year.

Hunter is a class act and a phenom. Keeps quiet so the people on here love him, much like eric berry, and I do too. If he's healthy he will have a great season and will be in the NFL. He's been too close to losing it already with his injury and knows that anygiven play it could all be gone. He's going to take care of him self and his family first chance he gets.

Looking forward to a fun year with these three. Its almost a perfect storm for them all to have big years. I can see us being in shootouts in most of our games and right now we aren't looking like a run first team. I would be super happy to see them all play on Sunday after this season.

Dude you guys amaze me. First point I would like to make is that JH is an awesome talent, that can't be denied. But to say he is better then Da'Rick is ridiculous at best. For those who say this give me proof. Simple fact is that he isn't.Big plays such as the deep ball are not as common in the NFL as college.I love Hunter and think he awesome and glad he is back. But he does not have the physicality it takes to play in the NFL right now and Da'Rick is ready. Some of you have agendas because of his sideline demeanor wtf? Wouldn't you be pissed if you were him? Simms enough said. The rest is all BS rumors.Rogers had better numbers this yr. before Hunter was hurt.Do some fact finding before dissing the guy.If you think we have anyone on the roster that can replace Da'Rick your nuts.

Its fans like this that I'm not fond of. Get over yourself, with people like you bashing on him, one of the lone bright spots on the team last season why should he stay? To get ridiculed another year? Also coaches use the line play here and we can get you drafted and drafted high is used on the top high schoolers across the nation right this minute, they choose the school they choose to worry about that, and when he's handed a check for more money at 21 then you will ever see, every single one of his teammates and coaches are going to be proud of him.

I like Hunter and Rogers and both are going to be 1st round picks. But the fact is you are wrong.Hunter had 16 catches for 302 yds and Rogers had 15 for 200 yds before Hunter got hurt.So your wrong about Rogers having better numbers.here is your fact finding

Whoa now , I think you should reread my post. I am pretty positive I didnt bash him. I'll break it down for you...He is the best player at his position, therefore his influence on this team is multiplied. Just would like for him to enjoy his time here

All things considered I believe he is enjoying being a Tennessee Vol.

Only one corner in the SEC could cover DaRick, Claiborne. That's it. DaRick is a beast and most certainly will be NFL ready by the end of his junior season. Will hate to see him leave but he will be a first rounder.

Hunter and rogers both would have put up 1,000 yard seasons together if not for hunter's injury... really dont understand the Darick hate on this board.. both go in the top 20 of next years draft barring injury.. i cannot wait for next season when these two freaks get unleashed into the sec together for the first time

Damn square. You must watch the same talent as myself. The 3, Bray - Hunters - Rogers are lethal to any defense. It hurt that they could not all play a complete sophomore season, together, but look out SEC. These 3 are the real deal and will have even ESPN giddy over themselves next season.

not sure it's the right decision (but I'm biased XD ) but gone. as long as he doesn't have an atrocious year, he's gone.

Alshon Jeffery: 88 catches, 1517 yards, 9 TDs as a true soph.

Figured I'd preemptively add him since he's going in the first round. Had half as many catches for half as many yards and 8 TDs this season, so even if Da'Rick doesn't produce as much, I think you can still expect him to go in the first.

Honestly at this point, I would argue that Da'Rick is more NFL ready than J Hunter. His size and physical stature would translate better in the NFL. Hunter has more upside IMO but he has to show he can hold up. It would help him if he can add more muscle to his frame during this offseason. Let's be honest right now he's a string bean.
