I'll say it....he doesn't understand the concept of parent and child, why should we think he'll understand coach/player. He didn't have the best parenting as a child. Then his athleticism got him to where he is today. I'm gonna stop here....

Do we know that he has been a problem, or is this internet speculation? Rumors are a hard thing to combat if they have no basis in reality...

You are doing both, judging him and criticizing his character without any proof whatsoever. All you are doing is perpetuating the same unproven rumor and trying to build its credibility. A lie is a lie is a lie no matter how many times it might be repeated.

We fans are hearing this "alot" because people like you keep repeating it, then adding in your own analysis. He has to understand the concept of coach and player? He has to know what it means to give your all?

Even if it turns out he struggles with his discipline and work ethic and even if he had some passionate exchanges with the coaches, none of it means he doesn't understand what it takes. The kid is living it and unless we are running along side him on the field we have no basis for passing judgment.

YORKVOL: I guess we will see man. Like i said, i'm not there and have no personal vendetta against Darick. I truly hope he keeps it together and continues his success. But,if he doesn't respect coaching and doesn't have a good work ethic.....it DOES mean he doesn't know what it takes. I don't have to be there to understand the concept of a team player. And if he is making news before spring for anything negative, its not a great thing. Anyway, I haven't been the one keeping this going. First and last comments on Darick.....ever.

Da'Rick is obviously a very talented football player. I think he is probably a pretty good kid too. However, if he does not learn to respect authority, his life is going to always be tumultuous at best, regardless of the amount of money he makes. Let's hope he matures and learns to respect authority.

If nothing else, maybe learn how to control the image that he presents.

He might not have been this "cancer" crap that I keep reading. Absolutely nothing is substantiated. But because of the universal belief that where's there's smoke, there must be fire, he's gotten a reputation for being a prima donna (wrong gender, I know) and basically, a PITA.

It might be time for him to start learning, understanding, and applying the fine art of spin. Let the slavering masses see him at practice and writing papers and visiting nursing homes, so they'll get bored and move on to the next target.

Hey, like it or not, it's a big part of life, whether in dating or employment. :whistling:

Led the SEC in receiving last year... I would say yes he is, however, not without some means of punishment if he does not come around. Running steps in Neyland at 5:00 AM every morning might get his attention.

Nashville radio host Chad Withrow, spoke with Ryan Callahan and came away skeptical as to whether Da'Rick will still be on the team when the season rolls around.

@withrowzone After talking with Ryan Callahan on "Primetime", I believe it will be an upset if Da'Rick Rogers makes it through the offseason.

Anybody hear the reason behind this? Hyams said on Monday that Da'Rick had been suspended from team activities last week.

What do you guys think? Will he be catching passes from Bray in AUGUST or not?
