Hyams is nothing short of an idiot. Also, when callers contest his points, he usually chastises them in a very condescending way.

If JH honestly thinks that then he knows very little about what really goes on at UT. Smoking pot and being a diva are the worst offenses in UT football since he's been covering them? Wow

Jordan was not a cancer on the team but he was extremely disruptive. Especially in the couple of seasons right before he won his first championship. Has anyone ever read the book 'The Jordan Rules'. MJ was a diva to the max. Verbally abusive of his teammates. If I remember correct, he hit Will Perdue. (may be wrong on that) I know he was always riding Perdue and Pippen about something. He was a major pain in the azz.

the whiner line on "The Drive" is probably the best segment of any local radio show. I can't speak much for the rest of the show because it is just average, but my god the whiner line is hilarious.

I have not heard the Whiner Line, i did hear them pub'ing it the other week. Sounded interesting because they would have no input into it. I do like the listening to the Swamp Rat on mondays, just a shame he does not have his own show anymore.

If Da'Rick can just shut up, and show up, for another nine months, he willl become a very wealthy young man. I hope someone can get that message across to him.

I agree man, but some just will not. I hope he is not one of them, but so far looks like he's headed for dismissal. Too many rumors about his attitude to coaches and desire not to be coached for some of it not to be true. Great talent, poor attitude=bad teammate.

It is probably about a $10,000,000 decision. He can shut up, show up, play ball and be a mid-first round pick next spring. Or he can be a trouble child, get booted, and go through exactly the process Janzen is now facing. If JJ makes it onto a team (and I think he will), he will make around $2 million for his first four years of work in the NFL. If he had stayed out of trouble, he probably would have received around $12-15 million in signing bonus / four year deal. He really needs to focus on those $$$'s and shut up for nine more months. I hope he has a friend who can get that into his head.

I don't know...some of them do...and some of them hang on to it like they don't have a dime to their name. Even if he blows thru it, you have a lot of fun running thru $10 million in cold cash.

Da'Rick really needs to have the mindset of...if I can just stay quiet for nine more months, then it is worth an extra $10 million. So he could look at it like...hey, I am going to be paid $10 million extra dollars to be a good boy for nine months. That is a lot of cash!

Everyone is so quick to judge a 20 yr old college student but i know none of you would divulge your personal history on a message board for everyone to criticize your character. Everyone has made questionable decisions, dont be so judgemental

I'm not judging the kid. He obviously has an attitude problem or all these reports and "rumors" wouldn't be out there. Am I there? no. But funny we the fans and followers are hearing alot of the same things about him from people who's job is to keep up with TN Football. It leaked about his issues with Coach Baggett, and now with the S&C coach. I don't want to see him fail or lose his scholarship, but only he can control opinion of himself with hard work and respect for his coaches and fellow teammates.

Yes, that is indeed a very valid and good point. When I was 20, I was a wild man. You are correct; I would not want to attempt to defend it on a message board. I'm trying not to judge. To be 20 and in college is a wonderful time in life. The energy level is unreal. I fully understand why he is what he is....I'm just making a plea for him to understand his earning potential.

Not trying to be judgemental or criticize character. I'm citing a seeming lack of respect for coaches and teammates. Don't care what or who he does its his business. Most if not all been carefree and wild at some point in life, and I wouldn't want to take the fun out of it for anyone. But, he has to understand the concept of coach and player, and what it means to give your all all the time when you are a team.
