Da'Rick Rogers suspended indefinitely (merged)

I actually think we are getting to the point that we can be both. There is still a lot of talent on this team.

We are at the point where we can be both competitive, and discipline our players. Our depth at WR is better than the knee-jerk reactions today indicate.

Or, we can not be disciplinarians and be even more competitive. I think I'll take that one.

John L Smith with be available when Gruden goes to Arky.

Seriously, one player.....with a crap ton of issues.....and a very talented team still left standing.

The sarcasm, and jokes from me in this thread revolve around one theory: yall are freaking out about an issue that doesnt require the amount of freakout you have added.

He is a talented athlete. He will be missed. But it is a position where you have a poopload of talent. It sucks, but step back off the ledge.

Lol wut? So we should be mad at Hart? That is idiotic.

Who said anything about being mad at Hart?

"Hey Mr. Hart, we get DR may have had multiple chances already, but finally putting your foot down over something as stupid as weed is silly. Why not suspend for a game and let him play?"

I was really looking forward to seeing him play this year , but I am also looking forward to seeing the rest of the vols play. We still have some great recievers waiting to see the field. Only wish this would have went down sooner for the guys waiting to see the field to practice more with the 1's.

Maybe, but outside of DR none of it was especially proven, or had experience.

You're right GB but right now we're in a freaking out mood. Give us a day or so, with the appropiate amount of fermented/distilled anti-freakout medicene, and we'll be ok.

Insider on TOS just said that what really happened was they found out he supplied Bray with the Jet Ski and beer bottles. The problem is it was Miller Lite and a Sea Doo but UT’s sponsor is Budweiser and Kawasaki.

Where is that poopload of talent? After Hunter (who is coming off an injury) and Patterson (who has never played a down of NCAA football), we have a player who can't catch, a walk-on, and freshmen.

Because it is a rule. Should we just change rules because we don't like the consequences? Failing drug tests happen for every school, why should we change it? He has had plenty of chances, as a 3rd failed drug test is the first suspension. So he has obviously surpassed that.

Soooooo.... can I get a refund on this Da'rick 21 Tatoo I got on my arm?

Yeah I had a buddy text me "Soooo should I return the #21 Jersey I got u for you bday??? :)" What.a.d**k!

(birthday is this wknd...so it fits just right)

Thanks for ruining my bday DR...:cray:

I know looking into players tweets is frowned upon but David Ricky just said, "twitters been hacked" I'm confused..

If Schad is correct, and/or we are talking about weed, then absolutely. Urban Meyer was really good at getting criminals on the field. I don't care if it is his 20th strike. Its a harmless naturally occuring plant that had no effect on his ability as a player and we probably would have never known without a drug test. Suspend, run him, whatever.

Sounds much worse than weed. Doubt you indefinitely suspend a player while an ongoing investigation is happening if its just weed. Sounds more like Agent issues. Just selfish if true!

Doubt it. DR has a history of throwing a fit when reprimanded.

I would assume a player that fails a drug test that has been given all the chances in the world is not held to the same standard as a player that doesn't have behavioral issues and fails a drug test. More than likely it was a one more strike and you are gone type of deal.
