i talked to matt simms and he said this crew is really making him look good, he raved about da'rick and zach rogers specificly. he said when meline sharpes up his routes hes going to be tough to cover also.

i am really curious what will become of him. any chance he gets a look at CB or S? hes fast and i believe he played both in high school.

Milton may be behind some due to the fact he played mostly) last year. But, wait till Hunter gets some work in. With some time in the pocket, we just might move the ball through the air this year.

I think he will stay on offense, he is a playmaker with the ball in his hands, and I think the coaches and players are starting to take notice. If you go back and watch the O & W game, he only had 3 catches but they tried to go his way quite a bit more. The play was either broken up or a bad throw was made. Check out the trick play with D Moore throwing the ball, Zach was wide open but the ball was poorly thrown. But at this point you just don't know, they may put him there out of necessity.

i actually did notice him getting many looks in the O&W game. he tends to get forgotton about in the WR discussions on here. i simply have no idea how good he really is.

i could possibley see him as a nickel back, but i dont think he would be verry good at playing the run, with all the spread ofense theese days your corners are gona need to be proficiant at that. but id say he will stick to wr.

Our receivers are just straight up filthy. Jones and Moore will be very good, and even after they're gone we have Rogers, Teague, Milton and others.

It seems to me like they will all be good at every different route, too. The freshman won't as much, but Jones and Moore will make progress wearing down the defense throughout the game. Not physically. Opening up different holes for people. ESPECIALLY the tight ends. I can't wait to see this team grow throughout the year.
Chris Low doesn't think much of them. Ranked our WR's 8th in the conference.

people said the same of his brother. didnt he lead the team in catches the year before he got hurt?

No. He was second. But this is a lot better receiving core. He'll have trouble playing here. With the talent we'll have at WR going forward he won't be able to breakthrough.

good point LD. we need to have his speed on the field, somehow, though. more than just special teams. im not quite sure that he will get buried in the WR depth chart either.

Look at the WRs currently on the team that aren't graduating anytime soon. You have: Teague, D. Rogers, Milton, Hunter, Meline he's 6th behind the guys that are listed. Then you've got to think Dooley will bring in a few other good WRs in the upcoming years. Not looking good for him but we'll see.

Please don't bring up Zach Rogers. He'll see time covering kicks.

It looks like your disdain for Austin's playing time while at UT is now trickling down to Zach. I guess we will have to wait and see what Z Rogers does during the season, but I think he will definitely contribute at the wide reciever spot, and not just special teams as you say. The players, coaches and now the qb Simms have all said positive things about Zach, so I will take their opinion over yours. Also, he is not the 6th reciever. :ermm:

No offense but, how in the hell do you know that? Has Dooley release a starting lineup yet? I don't think you should make that assumption until the lineups are released. Plus, just because he doesn't start won't mean he won't see the field.

Matt Milton will be our best receiver. At 6-6, he will be the best redzone receiver we have had in a long time. Rogers on one side, Milton on the other with Teague in the slot. I can't wait!

Temper your expectations. Last year at this time there was talk of Nu'Keese being the next great thing. These young guys will take some time to settle in. It is good to see they're making strides in practice though
