Da'Rick Rogers FYI....

Why would I apply to UGA? Anyways, I do have friends that didn't get accepted to UGA that had a better GPA and better tests scores than I did. I think it's logical to think that someone who had a higher chance of getting into a school than I did, and they didn't get in to that school, then that school probably has higher admission standards than one where I was accepted. Sure, it's not perfect, but I think it's logical.

10-4. :eek:k:

It doesn't....this is all a dream.........

It went up on Volquest for a few mins around 5PM and then was taken down. They were just making some last min edits like removing Rogers from the UGA site and changing his interest in TN to high. They probably didn't see much reason to make him our official commit until tomorrow, which is what is most likely to happen.

Wow! My brothers name is Rick and mine is Roger. It's fate I tells ya. But we don't have any "Da" in our names.

Here's daricks facebook post
yeah after sitting down with my mom and talking..ive decied to sign with the university of Akron to play wide receiver and 3rd string QB. prettyboy out
funny ain't it

To those worried about the "Psych...I'm signing with UGA"...I don't believe CMR operates that way. He would never encourage or condone that. Besides, the only reason anybody would WANT to do that now resides in Southern California! I think our only concern is his qualifying.

Buck Belue confirmed Rogers to Tennessee as did Chip Towers {AJC} on the Buck Belue show {680 The Fan} this afternoon.

"Go celebrate after the TD, I don't care if you get a penalty or anything" comes to mind. I wouldn't put it past Richt..

Then you really have no idea who CMR is. I hate UGA with a passion but that man has a very high moral stand and is more ethical than any coach I know. And take your quotes off...that is NOT what he said and it's not even close.

I'm pretty sure UGA has higher admission standards than UT does anyways. I have friends who couldn't make into UGA but would have made it into UT. I know that I might have not made it into UGA, but I did get accepted to UT. So if for some reason he can't get into UT because of grades, I wouldn't be too worried about him making it to UGA.

For non-athletes it is harder to get into UGA now, but the standards at UT are now approaching the standards at UGA with the HOPE scholarships.

But for athletes UGA has an exception policy according to an article in the Birmingham News a couple of weeks ago that allows the athletes with lower scores and GPA to enter UGA at the same level as the SEC standards.

The article stated that UT does not have an exception policy for athletes.

Yea I should have mentioned that I had no idea what is was like for athletes lol

I couldn't resist. He kind of left a hanging curve over the sweet part of the plate. I had to swing coach.
