Da'Rick Rogers Calls Out Nico

I also fear for his sake that he's expected to be a meal ticket for others in the extended family.
I don't know if it has ever been said, but I get that very same feeling about his family.

He seems like he is carrying the weight of his family's financial destiny on his shoulders.

That's great that he's close to family, but the footage of him leaving games with his dad and like 10 other family members right there in tow is just kind of weird.
Yup, Big Nick seems to be using his sons as an ATM. I feel for them if that's the case

People who use alcohol and weed can react very differently. Knew a man in my younger days who drank all day, every day. Owned his own very successful business and kept liquor hid and drank all day. The average person would not notice anything. Behind closed doors it took a toll on his family.
Had many friends growing up who both drank or did weed. Their outward lives were a mess. Good jobs but no money, vehicle always wrecked, no friends except other drinkers and smokers.
I’d venture to say DaRick got warned but couldn’t function enough to be a part of something bigger. At the same time I’m sure other players were smoking but could control it, and they survived staying on the team.

Has a ton of physical talent. Very slow and ineffective at reading defenses and reacting to them. It was painful to watch last season.
I mean its not like the guy was a veteran. Look at Hooker, Milton and Joey at the same place in their careers. Nico looked better than they did at the same point. Folks are comparing apples to oranges. Nico is still a young QB without a lot of experience..the UCLA thing will bite him and if he wants to reach the next level, he is gonna need to get out of there unless they have some miracle portal/recruiting classes. UCLA of late is the browns of college football. Since 2000 they have had 3 QB's drafted, Josh Rosen being the most successful of them. And now they are in the BigTen lol... They will need a miracle to get 4 wins much less a bowl bid. ESPN has them favored in 0 games to win lol.

Things went very differently for Tennessee's current and former starting quarterbacks on Saturday. Joey Aguilar had a good debut in the Vols' opener against Syracuse, which Tennessee won 45-26.

Things went very much the opposite for former UT QB Nico Iamaleava in Pasadena in his debut with the UCLA Bruins. The Utah Utes blew the doors off of the Bruins in the Rose Bowl 43-10, and the struggle on the field reflected every bit of that lopsided scoreline. Iamaleava was 11/22 passing for 136 yards with a touchdown and interception. He also ran 13 times for 47 yards.

Iamaleava has become a lightning rod of controversy and commentary on social media, even as he took the field for the Bruins across the country. That includes comments from former players like ex-Tennessee WR Da'Rick Rogers, who claims he knew when Iamaleava was "hot garbage" before he even arrived in Knoxville.

First I heard about this.
