When an immature WR like Da'Rick that has had trouble throughout his life everywhere he has been walks into the situation at UT, I agree completely with you. However, I think it's unfair to mention the players you did in your post because I do not think it's a "major reason" for most players. Some players get it and some just do not. Da'Rick has a chance at millions and doesn't care. Julio had his shot, worked his butt off, and is making the millions. Who was playing behind him didn't matter to Julio as he had a goal that he wanted to attain.
Geez Louise gang, take the post for what it was and quit trying to read the fine print (there is none). For once I think Fade is dead on. Just because he mentioned players that may all be good just because they were gonna be good no matter where they were, the point is that:
1. If you are immature
2. If you have had no discipline in your life
3. You are the BMOC by not having competition, then
you are going to BE the BMOC. You are going to think your poop don't stink and that every fart smells like roses. You won't understand when more rational, grounded, and mature individuals be they your elders or your peers think you are acting like a jerk. Fade, maybe you put too much thought and common sense in your post for some to handle??
Fade, for once, I must admit that your OP actually barely just crossed the border into the territory of what is "logical." This, like your successful attempts to effectively muster a coherent argument, will be an EXTREMELY rare occurrence.
Enjoy.
And I completely agree with what you just said. However, a position spot is not a major reason said players acted like they were older than 15. They saw a future, had a goal, and worked their ass off. To say it's a major reason is ridiculous. And if Julio or Richardson went out and committed a misdemeanor, they would've still been playing. You discredit kids that do it the right way when you say a major reason they are doing it the right way is because there's a player behind them. Your summary is 100% correct. I, however, do not feel that the OP saying a major reason those kids acting right was because they had a good player behind them.
This has nothing to do with Da'rick taking advantage of our depth but Da'rick just being immature.....Dooley is in a tough spot. Da'rick is like the hot girlfriend who you can't trust because she might cheat on you, but you stay with her and give her chances because she is so hot...
I don't get it all this talk about Da'rick doing this and that being bad for team
and all.I have not seen any comments or statements from any his teammates or coaches
complaining or saying anything bad about him and he has never been suspended from his
team. Can someone show me some facts proving all this stuff the sports writers
and others are writeing about him. I don,t think they can so to me its just A
Lieing bunch of crap
:banghead2:
So do you disagree that it discredits a player that does it the right way to tell them a major reason they are doing it the right way is because they have someone good that is backing them up? I'm pretty sure me and you agree on this. I think if Da'Rick had someone backing him up he would do less than what he has thus far.
He was suspended earlier for 2 weeks. Also, don't come into this debate 11 hours and 1700 posts late and throw "Lieing (sic) bunch of crap" around. If you go back and look at some of the tweets that DR has made and couple that with some of the stuff from Ga St. you will see where our lying crap comes from.
Yea but can you prove he was not just playing around with his tweets most kids do

For reference, take Bama for instance. A major reason guys like Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, and Mark Barron keep their act together
kept their act together? the first two had NCAA investigators on campus for pay for play scandals and Barron was charged with hindering prosecution for lying to the police.
Dear Lord help me. Do you understand the meaning of the word EXAMPLE. He could have said Awesome Player A, Awesome Player B, and Awesome Player C. Geez dude, get over yourself. He was making a point that lack of depth breeds a feeling of invincibility. Period, nothing more. Hell, Bama is my SECOND favorite team in college football. I didn't take offense and understood EXACTLY what he was talking about. Drop it please.
It isn't the proof, it's the fact that you jumped into this thread which is one of about 5 on this subject and called everyone's statements one way or another about DR doing something "A Lieing (sic) bunch of crap". Seems pretty strong to me. That is all.eace2:
Edit: Now 6 JH just started another one. HE IS EVIL!
You get edgy really easily. Anyways, I realize it's an "example." It's not true. It's not a "Major Reason" a person stays out of trouble. Anyone of those players could've committed crimes and given second and third chances just like major players at major schools do. Once again, it discredits players that do it the right way. The premise of the OP I agree with that the lack of depth causes headcases like Da'Rick to act the same way and even worse. However, UT had plenty of depth in the 90s, and I guarantee you Haynesworth, Lewis, etc... never feared they would be benched just because there was good depth.
