OK, we can see that Darby has been in a shooting slump but no one is seeing actually what is happening; how many times has she thrown the ball away (very few if any); tries to be in her little spot that the coach has put her in; there are very few plays (if any) to get her the ball (she will get out of this slump-hopefully soon, ); they only pass her the ball when absolutely necessary; point guard cannot read the floor to even set up a play; yes; we do hit a few baskets by running straight for the basket (when there are 3 guards standing there; stumble or throw the ball away; it is like a three ring circus out there; absolutely no eye for the court when bringing the ball down; just run & gun; yes Darby is a little slow but I saw several of Indiana players run by some of our other players besides Darby; give the girl a break; I bet no one feels any worse that Darby for not hitting but obviously some of you people need to watch other teams play (play a whole lot smarter than we do.
That's all

For the team to be successful in big games she has to be 10+ points. If not we struggle to win or even be competitive. Somebody labeled her as a “sharp shooter” and it’s just not the case.

Darby does a lot of the little things that actually help the team besides shooting the ball (yes, she is definitely in a slump but just how many times has she thrown the ball away & definitely has a high ball IQ which we are definitely lacking on the court; we tend to just run the ball up the court; maybe pass it around a couple of times or just run straight to the basket with three guards just standing there waiting for them; may hit a few of those but either stumble or throw it away; again; lack of high basketball IQ

Her job is to score when she’s in. She had 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 points.

I’ve watched football all day. So I guess Lady Vols lost another game today?

Edit- I just read game thread.

The problem is she doesn’t know when to stop. Always her shot. When she takes more shots then Jewell it’s a bad day for us

There were also moment where Spear was yelling at Tess to move and get open and Tess just….sat there.

Maybe blame that on they don’t know what the hell they’re doing on offense because there’s no scheme to run!
exactly, "no scheme (or play) to run; obviously someone is not remembering the plays

If it was me I would’ve been yelling like “Fear da Spear”!
I would’ve taken it a step further and yelled at the coach too, heck I didn’t come here to lose!
The offensive system just doesn’t look right. I watch other teams play regularly and I’ve never before seen other teams run what is TN main system/sets on offense but one team? Guess who? Duke ran one of the sets that TN runs.
That’s because it’s what these coaches know from formerly playing at Tennessee.
It worked then doesn’t mean it will work now!

Of course, no mention top player still on sideline with boot on . Practice all preseason with certain players as starters then a hiccup. So players now with role changes are struggling. Just thought I remind folks Miss Jackson out. Also shooters normally shoot their way out of slumps.

Then you would’ve been deemed a “negavol”.

Team doesn’t elevate to championship level with RJ’s return. Championship teams move forward with next person up to fill the void. With her back it’s like last year, take her out of the game and let someone else beat you.

If she can't score Wynn is the better option for defense. I think this season Wynn is the better option anyway. Got to get better athletes on the floor especially against the better teams. Someone has to be able to at least slow down the other teams top two scorers.

Sounded as if you were making excuses. Nobody needs reminding RJ is out, no guarantees if she’s playing that we win. And shooters shooting doesn’t come at the expense of losing in hopes of getting back to game avg.

We are not good defensively, our guards aren't good enough defensively--and yet the team's best defender sits on the bench and plays very little. It's a problem. Wynn simply has to show that the run the point as well as the two PGs ahead of her for her to get more PT.

Just how low can you go? Total bullsh*t. Tess' problem is not that she isn't being passed to

We don't need Wynn to run the point. We need her to defend. She probably should be getting alot of Tess' mins now.
