Donte. Sic'em, ViA. :p

Just kidding, Vol423.

Pretty big move for the Eagles. I already thought they'd finish no worse than 2nd in the division, and this helps.

I have him in my FF team, I wonder if his fantasy value will go up with McNabb or was it better with Brees? Anyone got an opinion?

This is big for Dante. If he is a good NFL player now is his chance to shine. Philly doesnt have a real number one and with his speed and McNabb's arm he could have a similar season to Santan Moss's last year. That is if he is a real NFL #1 guy. I have always heard he is a very sloppy route runner.

Theoretically his value should rise in Philadelphia since he should emerge as Philly's number one receiver. However, he could also end up being a flop since he'll likely now draw the opposing team's best corner in coverage.

I don't get what the Saints are trying to do here? They are finaly getting a good core of players to go with Dante, Horn, Conwell and Deuce. They land a very good QB in Brees and now trade away one of thier better (not great by ANY means) reciever. Can we see alot more of Bush at wide out with Duece in the backfield?

Have they used Stallworth right in that offense or does Dante not have NFL talent. He was superb here.

From what I saw of the Saints in the past (which is only a few games) they tried to implement him in the system but he had a ton of drops.

Stallworth was not superb at UT. He was average. Had he not run a smoking 40-time during his workout for NFL scouts he probably would have been a late second or early third round pick.

I'll grant you that when measured against the likes of our receiving corps over the last few years, Stallworth would be considered a stud, but that's more a reflection on the poor level of quality of our recent wide receivers rather than a reflection of how great Stallworth was. He was average when compared against the wide receivers that we used to produce back then.

Your opinion not mine. I thought he was superb at Ut.

Stallworth was the #1 guy in NO for quite a # of games last season due to Horn being banged up.

Donte was and will continue to be an average at best WR until he grows up.

He was lazy in NO, plain and simple. He dropped almost every other pass thrown to him and was injured every other week.

He has the talent to be a Top 10 WR in the NFL but his complete inability to mature on/off the field are keeping him back

His problem is certainly not from a talent standpoint. So for whoever asked if he has NFL talent the answer is certainly yes. From a pure talent standpoint he measures up with the best WR's in the NFL. He is big, strong, very fast. But, he has no work ethic and cares nothing about his craft. He loves the paycheck he gets and he is just smart enough to understand he gets paid whether he works hard or not. Therefore, he has chosen the slackers route for his NFL career. Its a shame and its wasteful. With his talent a hard worker could be an All-Pro WR.
